FRIDAY--Food Day!!

This is a small recipe book that my Mom found somewhere's in her travels and she just loved to make the blueberry muffin recipe that is within this book and for some reason, it had also become one of my favorites==so as the baker in the family I made sure I "inherited" it, upon my mom's passing. I have baked these blueberry muffins many times--but must say not for a while now--so this will be my "special food" for today. I also just discovered in downloading the pictures that this booklet was published by Ideals in the year 1966--that was the year I graduated from High School!!!!

Now for some quilting news--I was actually well enough to day to go to a class and was able to get my 4th Bliss Hexagon block made--felt so good to be back in class today and I bet you can guess who my teacher was--none other than the "famous" Sharon Stroud--we had alot of great fun and lots of laughs and don't forget the M&M's she always passes out. Happy Stitching!!!

I see you have got the pics under control - even scanning! I think you must have more patience than me. I enjoy looking everyday to see what's going on. :)

Aren't those vintage cook booklets fun? I purchased 2 on eBay a couple of years back. They are advertisements for coconut with recipes and patterns for cut-out cakes. Our neighbor had these books and made the best cakes using them. I just had to have them for my very own. Such a memory*s*
