TO DO OR NOT TO DO????

I had a hard time decideing whether to take down Christmas today or to wait until New Year's day????
I usually always wait until New Year's day or the day after---BUT this year I guess I am in a hurry cause----

I did pack it all up and then I even had some extra muscles stop by tonight and I asked them to put it up in the top of the closet---I kinda felt like this lady--just wanted to drag it all out at once--even with the decorations on it--then it would be all ready for next year---I realize that that would be 359 days from now--but wait I usually put it up the first of Dec=that is only 325 days away!!!!  Alright, Di, enough!!!!!!

I did do some applique on a Christmas block today--it's for a quilt wall hanging and I had only gotten 2 blocks done in August and had not gotten back to it till now---so am working on --- NOW THE QUESTION IS:  what do "WE" do about our unfinished Christmas projects from this year?????  Do we still try to work on them-- or do we put them away for awhile????????   Do you have any UFO Christmas projects and what are you going to do about them?????

By the way--I received a "report" from the North Pole today with some pictures of what Santa has been up to since he finished his deliveries on Christmas Eve--

He has been talking to his neighbor through the garden fence--

He is already "striking" up the band to get ready to sing in the New Year's here shortly--

He has been catching up with Mrs. Claus and giving her some "thanks" for all the baked goodies he got---

He has been out on the pond ice skating to stay in shape for next year--

And he's been seen racing around in his "new" car that was from Mrs. Claus!!!!!!  Wonder how she got that "under" the tree?????

OKAY---are we all working on our new goals and plans for 2010??????
Let me know what they are!!!!

see ya tomorrow---hugs, DI

I have several unfinished Christmas projects - a table runner for my kitchen, 3 cardinal block wall hangings, and a large Christmas quilt. I knew that one couldn't be finished for this year because some of my blocks won't come until next month. I probably won't be interested in doing them until sometime next fall. I'm also working on putting all my decorations away, and hopefully the house will be back to normal tomorrow.

There is so much in my head that I want to do. I just don't know where to start. Right now I am still working on a new sewing area. I am so excited about it. I will be posting about it soon I hope.

Hey Di,

I was still making gifts right up till Monday but am tired of Christmas project now. I managed to complete every Christmas project I started, but there weren't very many.

This afternoon I started a small wall hanging and am getting ready to put the layers together and stipple quilt it. I'm ready to move on.

As far as taking the decs down, I'm still enjoying mine. Geez, I just finished getting it all up!!!

Yes, I have unfinished projects -- gave out several of the gifts I had made and still have others to finish.

Fortunately, my grandson offered to help take the tree down so that job is done -- a bit earlier than usual, but it is done and I can now move on to other things. Still have some things to pack away, Nativity Set, etc.
We have a short trip planned for the year's end, then we will begin our new year with many things to look forward to, not the least of which is my hubby's retirement!

Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo--
I am sitting in my temporary apartment in Suffolk, VA. I picked up a few packages that I had sent to my mom's that contained new fabric. Imagine that!!! I needed a few seconds of sanity in between car hunting, suitcase unpacking, and, and, and... Did I give my gmail address? I will get straight eventually. I hope!!! Maybe!! I can't wait to see what you are going to get up to for the new year. I am just hoping my sewing machine gets here in one piece and that I don't have to wait too long for my UFOs to arrive. I still would like to finish a BOM quilt a month. And one Christmas project a month but first I suppose we need a house. Good start!! Talk to you again soon. L,A-

I finished all my Christmas projects except a table topper. Things got a bit too crazy and my table did not get a topper for December.

I have a long list of projects that need to be finished and an even longer list of things I would like to start.

Happy New Year!!
