I AM EXCITED--AGAIN!!!

I won on the Spring Sew In--and I am sooo excited--I really can't believe it!!!!
Oh Boy--gotta think of something "neat" to make with this group!!!
THANK YOU==KELLY
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
Now what did I do today????
Went to Mary's and fixed her a cup of tea and visited alittle--
THEN--
Then two of my friends showed up and wanted to see "all" my quilts--oh boy--
that was "fun"--I had forgotten half of them--I can not believe how many I have done--alot of the smaller things have been quilted and a "few" of the bigger ones--
BUT---
I have alot and I mean "A LOT" of quilting to do!!!!! I would say probably 5-6 years of straight non-stop quilting--provided that I did not make any more tops---and------
well we know that ain't gonna happen!!!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
In fact here is today's work--
I am soo happy--I learned how to do the "rick rack" rows for the sides of this block in the Round robin workshop I am doing here on the Internet---I loved doing this--and guess what --- it is sooo easy to do!!!  Now I know-- if you really look at the borders you will say--"hey, Di, you put one side on up side down??"  But I know that --I actually did it on purpose---soooo what do you think--do you like it this way--or should I have them match???????
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
And looky here---
this is the Roundabout ---well--at least it is a start to the Schnibbles  pattern---I love the fabrics that I choose for this month's --so far--but it is not together yet--so will see!!!!
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
What you all got planned for the week-end?????
ME--tomorrow I am going to pretend it is still the Spring Sew on Saturday-- and I am going to work on my "spring" quilt---any one want to join me????  Just bring some chocolate--dark chocolate and you can join!!!

I can "feel" it--the snow is melting and the sun has been shinning for two days in a row and the weather chart has warmer temps and sunshine for the next week--so "baby" bring on the SPRING--we are ready!!!!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK END
Hugs, Di

What a beautiful gift you won! Can't wait to see what you make with it. You have so much already made, but that's not the point, is it? We just have to do the next swap, round robin, quilting class, new pattern, and on and on and on.... but it makes us so happy!! Love the work I can see. Have a good weekend.

Congrats on winning the beautiful prize! I'm thinking about doing that round robin, but I just discovered it a coupel of days ago, so I haven't started yet. Hmmm..maybe today? Seeing yours motivates me even more - I love what you've done so far.

Oh Lucky you to win such lovely fabric.

I just think braid borders(rick rack)are divine and such a great way of using up scraps too.
If you are putting a border all the way round the block I would leave it like it is because when the other two go on it will look like a continuous square. Oh does that make sense??

Okay, that's just not right, Di. Showing a photo of chocolate and not sharing.

Just what kind of blogger friend are you? LOL

Congrats on the win!

I like the ric-rac braids on the side of the block. The different directions should give the block/quilt nice movement too. Glad to hear it is an easy technique to do.

That quilt is beautiful! I would never have noticed the rows being different until you mentioned it. I actually like it that way. Gives it a rather whimsical look.

So happy you won such a pretty giveaway!!!
I love the look of that block!
Well at least you do have plenty of your own quilts!
I too need to work on some 'quilting' and not as much piecing...not!!!
