A FUNNY THING HAPPENED TODAY---

WELL--some of you out there would not think it "funny"---and if I had not learned awhile ago to 'laugh' at myself--I would of cried!!!
One of the projects that I worked on today was the "flying geese" rows for the Round Robin quilt--I decided that I had just enough with one to spare 2 1/2 inch squares for the geese from the cream with blue polka dot --leftover from the center basket square and this would be a great place to use it!!!!!  I got down to the last corner of the last goose and guess what??????
I am one 2 1/2inch square SHORT--instead of one extra--I looked in all my scrap bins--in the polka dot bin--in the blues bin--but no more fabric to match --- so for now I just added a square that has little green dots--after all this is a "scrappy' quilt for me!
If I had known I would of done a couple in the green or whatever--but I am not redoing any--sooooo!!!!
and I did sew the corner pieces a second seam and now have them for a project--may be able to use them some where even on this quilt before it is done--I did not get them pressed or squared up--cause I went for my walk--
This is what the end of the lake looks like with out all the boats---
I also had fun with this guy--
A one footed "sea gull" we have lots and lots of sea gulls here---anyways he
was standing on this post--and he kept playing a game with me--he knew I wanted to take a picture of his face--but he would keep turning away from me every time I thought I had him--
How do you like this picture???  It was windy out--but not quite this windy--he actually was scratching or biting himself here---   and with lots of patience I finally got this--
OK I win!------------------------------------------

Have you signed up for the Bag sew in--you better get over there and do it--it is going to be cold and rainy here--so it will be a great day to sew for me and Little sister!!!

AS it is Prom time nearly--- here is one for you---
Last June, my friend told me about her plans for our upcoming prom.  "I'm renting a stretch limo and spending $1,000 on a new dress, and I've reserved a table at the most expensive restaurant in town," she said.
Our teacher overheard her and shook her head.  "I didn't spend that much on my wedding."
My friend answered, "I can have three or four weddings.  But a prom you do only once."     lol

I am always doing things like that! I think it looks great with the green- it is now extra scrappy.

That's what maths does - turns it all upside down (haha) Your flying geese are great anyway - I bet nobody notices.

You may think I am odd, but I LOVE that you have 1 triangle that is different. Gives it a little more character :)

I also love that you have one different triangle. Little touches like that in a quilt make it unique! :-) Cute little one-legged sea gull too!
