UP---DOWN---BUT MOSTLY DOWN!!!

I made a BIG decision last night before bed---I was gonna "launder" the new clothes today---they were terribly smelly of perfume---and when I got up this morning--that is what I did--I have to wash them at least 2 times--and would you believe that I washed this top --
In the same load as this top!!!
Plus at least one other bright colored top and as you can see there is "no" red or even pink dye on the white one---and these dark ones did "run"--I threw two sheets of color catchers in the load--WOW!!
I also did a small load of my new pair of jeans and a couple real dark colored new tops--so all my new "stuff" is ready to go in the closet---!!!
While I was sitting and waiting for the washer I got this made--
A baby yellow hat and I got a second one started!!!
And I found me a "model" to display them on!!!
********************************
So why was "today" so downy---Mary---her family was in and out and they all came to see me or give me a hug while I was down  there doing the laundry---everybody is here--all day pretty much--everybody is waiting -- and wanting---Mary's suffering to stop--so we had "tears" off and on and I have continued to be teary eyed all day!!!

But in the mean time I did get some -- some of the closet work done--I sorted the food shelves--and in the bottom of that closet was a box of picture frames and some that are not hung up--  Look at what I found --
This is one of my first Tole painting projects--I just loved this Old fashioned looking scene--there is alot of detail in this one--I did this one in 1986--so it is 24 years old --wow!!!
this is older yet--this is from a stencil class I took--and I have kept it all these years--It is simple--but I love it---
And one of the more involved Counted cross stitch samplers I did--this was a gift for my Mom--back in 1987---right now I am glad I found it and I have it out--as I need to read it right now myself!!!

And this picture---this is my daughter--I still have this red velvet dress--
Today--daughter--Dawn--is 42 years old---unbelievable!!!!  happy birthday-kid!!!
 *********************
NOW--I know the "question" of the day is---what DID Di eat last night???????
You will never in 100 years guess???????
I had a teaspoon of peanut butter and a piece of dark chocolate and I took a real long time to eat them--it worked!!!!
See I keep telling you-- my friends---Chocolate is always the answer!!!!!

You all have a great Sunday--and some fun!!!

Hugs, Di

More hugs coming your way!

I had a feeling you might find some older treasures in the closets. I remember my step mother having a similar rocking horse stencil hanging up when I was younger.

Peanut butter and dark chocolate eaten slowly. Mmmm bet that was good! I haven't had either in over 6 years. I miss them both! lol

It's such fun to go through old 'pretties' and see what we or other family members have done. I'm so sorry about your friend. I'll keep you both in my prayers.
