A SUNNY SUNDAY!!!!

Another beautiful Fall day here--

This morning I got the rest of a word all appliqued on another Christmas block--
then I finished knitting the first "snowman"--
I know he doesn't look like much here--
but I promise when he has all his 'details' he will be quite handsome!!!
Now to start the Lady one!!!

After lunch Little sister and I did decide to go over town ---
again--it's just so nice out--you just don't want to be inside!!!

Stopped at some of our 'favorite' places--
only bought a book at one--on taking care of dogs!!!!
and then while we where at the Country shop I discovered that a pretty set of 4 pink plates that I had been wanting for months was a lot less than I had thought--
sooooooooooooooo---
Look what I got--

I thought the tag said--$13.95 for one!!!!
And a while ago they had went to half price--
but knew I still needed to wait--until my 'ship' came in--
today I discovered that the price was $13.95 for the set of FOUR!!!!
and half price made them about $7.00-WOW--
it did not take me long to pay for them!!!!
Now what am I going to do with them--
have no clue????????

Later while my supper was in the oven --
I did a little Fall decorating--

Remember this teapot from the church sale???
see you can not tell that the top is all chipped--
added $4 worth of new fall flowers I got last week at Walmart--
then put my fall table runner under the ironstone platter!!!
So I am slowly getting decorated for Fall--
I know--I will just get it finished and it will be time for Christmas decorating!!!

So now--did everyone have a nice Sunday????
What are your plans for Columbus day????

Hugs, Di

What beautiful plates! And at a wonderful bargain, too.
I can't wait to see what Mr. & Mrs. Snowman look like when finished.

I haven't been around for a bit. Too busy sewing and ripping. Happy Columbus Day! I'm in Canada also so it's Thanksgiving here. I love your decorations on the chair with the flowers in the teapot. I never would have thought to put a runner on a chair like that but it looks so pretty.

I'm not normally a plate person but those are pretty. Such a lovely color to them.

Your decorating is looking nice so far. I Love Fall colors!

You have to get all the trips to town in now while the weather is gorgeous.

Nice deal on the plates Di...me, I'm a sucker for a pretty plate! LOL Can't wait to see the snowman all done. The kiddies were home today but I did manage to get some sewing done. I hope to update my blog on the morrow! Isn't fall in NY just gorgeous? I never get tired of it!
