WATER UPDATE--

We packed up and went back to the apartment this afternoon only to learn it will be at least 2-3 days more--they had my apt torn up even more and alot of dryers on in it--
and no body seems to know yet if more of the walls and flooring and maybe even the cupboards in the kitchen may need  replacing--
The worse thing today was the 'smell'--
it is the whole hall way--terrible smell--
probably all the hallways on all the floors on that wing are bad--

So I did promise you the story about the fire--
my neighbor gets boxes delivered to her apt nearly daily--
esp the first part of the month--
(and the 'funny' sad thing is--she usually plays with whatever she ordered-
then she returns it)
well--she got a big box yesterday--
and because of an illness of hoarding--she did not have anywhere's she could open the box--
so she carried it to the kitchen and sat it on the stove to open the box--
and inside was a smaller box-so she took that one out and took it to the living room
to open it-and somehow she had turned the stove burner on in the process--
yep--box caught fire!!!
the fire was put out rather quickly-
but not before the sprinklers were set off--
and I think everyone thought the other person knew how to turn them off--
so they were on a awhile!!
DID SOMEONE SAY THEY HAD CHOCOLATE????

  ENJOY THE FRESH SPRING AIR--DI

I read both of your posts! Oh my...that is just awful! What a shame one person caused so much damage and upset to so many. I hope things get fixed or they figure out how to get the moisture and smell under control. I'm glad you had your sweet daughter close by. Take care of yourself! Hugs, Diane (I'm saying a prayer for you!)

What a story. Sounds like the neighbor has quite a problem....besides the fire.

WOW! What an amazing story! I really hope everything gets dried out and you are able to get moved back in soon. I am so happy that the fire was contained to her rooms. It could have been much worse. Take care and a big hug from me.

Oh my gosh! I never sit anything on a burner, even if I know it's not turned on. Hope you get dried out soon! I can only imagine what an inconvenience it is to not be able to live in your own home. Hugs.

Well that's definitely not good. So sorry you have to deal with this. At least you have someplace you can go. How many others are displaced?
