I can not believe that March has went out like a "lamb"---it is "scary"--because I thought it came in like a lamb here!!!!!

Sooooo--did everyone get all there projects done for the month????

I do believe I did--and then some--which felt real good!!!
today I felt soooo very sleepy all day--but I did get some sewing done this morning--
This is my block for the Jelly Roll challenge--
And here is the one I am doing for a gift--seeing as I have used some of the off white fabric on the other two blocks I decided to use that in the center here too!!!

Remember me buying the Honey Bun of the Cherry 'O' line--well this is what I am "attempting" to do with it--
Making a smaller version of the Jelly roll blocks--the jelly roll blocks are 12" squared and these will be 6" squared---hopefully!!!!
The first one I did was this week's block and it came out correctly--then I did block one and for some reason it came out 7" square--so I did block #2 and it did come out to the 6 inches-- so-- I looked over block one and decided I just needed to use less squares in the center and then it came out correctly--but I will keep the larger block--it can go on the back--or if another one comes out too big I could make a table runner or something???????

My girl-friend Ginny took me to the Library today for more books---( I will have to ask the Easter bunny when I see him--when he thinks I can have some time to read??)
On the way home we had to stop for a school bus and we stopped on a little bridge and this is the picture I took for you---
One of the things we are famous for around here is our "falls"--this is a "baby' next to some we have--but it was sooo pretty today!!!

Q...Why did the magician have to cancel his show???????

A...He'd just washed his hare and couldn't do a thing with it!!!!
Q...Why does a the Easter bunny have a shiny nose????

A...His powder puff's on the wrong end!!!!
Q...What do you call it when a rabbit has an accident with a knife????

A...A hare cut!!!!!!!
PS  I almost forgot--I even got the 4 baby hats done this month--wellllll----almost--gonna go and finish the 4th one now!!

As I told you yesterday--little sister and I had doctor appts at the same place--which was a 2+ hours drive north of here to the big city of Syracuse, NY---it was to see our Environmental doctor for the MCS we have!!!  I am not sure really "why" we go--they never really "help" us with how to avoid things that make us "ill"--they mainly just do a routine check up with us and document everything--but they do do alot of insurance, and other kinds of paper work--so it is worth going--plus they "never" tell us it is all in our heads--or that we "look" healthy soo what's the problem????

I have been going there for 12 years = once a year---and in the past I have seen a couple very young-college age girls come in in these--

Yep--with gas masks on--they are so sensitive to chemicals in the air that we breathe--
and some day this could even be me---ouch!!!
But today we seen a young fellow--
Like this fellow and he was with his very pregnant wife there--they called his name as we were about to leave and he stood up--and up and up--
and he was all--all legs---thin--tall---he had to duck to enter the door ways---I bet he could of played this sport--
But he never would of had to jump--he could just stand under the basket and "hand" it in everytime!!!!
OH--how tall was his wife you ask-- she might have reached his waist--remember I said "might"--she was not very tall--maybe 5'3 or so!!!!
So my big adventure today was seeing the World's Tallest Man!!!
This is the friend who drove us up there--Her name is Mary Claire and she is always "funny"--
Here is the building we went in--
This is a painting that is just inside the doors --- Mary Claire and I stopped to study it on the way out--I decided I was "good" enough to have done this one---but--I will stick to Quilting!!!!
Here is the tree that was right beside the doors--it had some kind of buds or berries from last year on it--in oranges--was pretty tree!!!
And this is one of the buildings we saw on the way home near Alburn or in Alburn--we went up one way and came home a different way---
NO--no stops at Quilt shops--that had been Plan A when another girl-friend was going to take us up--but?????

OK here is the "unveiling" of my new design--

Named--"Kellys Honey of a Charm"--this is using the winnings from Kelly last month and some 1/2 cuts added-- all from the "Whimsy" line by Janna Figueroa of Fig Three & Co. ---now who wants to quilt this for me????
AND guess what--another design "burned" into the brain tonight just before I got on here--so out came the pad and I jotted it done--think the next one will look nice in the Verna line I have collected!!!!---so if I am going to design some of these quilts--who is going to do my bom months and challenges for me???????

NOPE this joke bunny is not done yet---

Q...What do you get when you cross a rabbit with an elephant????

A...An elephant who never forgets to eat his carrots!!!!!
Q...How are rabbits like calculators?????

A...They multiply really fast!!!!!!
Q...Why can't a rabbit's nose be twelve inches long????

A...Because then it would be a foot!!!!!!!!
Q...How can you tell which rabbits are the oldest in a group??????

A...Just look for the gray hares!!!!!
Hugs, Di
Have a great day tomorrow---

"Mom" can I---

Mom--My homework is done--the dishes are washed and I got my shower--can I "Please" play on the Internet and see what all my blog friends are up too??????

One block of the Patchables is done--I did add a "kitty"!!!!  the Strawberries are buttons as is the flower--
Here the tulips are buttons and the two tools in the buckets are buttons--
and the wheels on the wagon are buttons as is the sun in both of these!!!
And the center one is always a birdhouse (that is probably "why" I fell in love with these to begin with)---the holes on the birdhouses are buttons that I added in stead of applique circles--and the eggs in the basket are buttons---
And now all three on the frame and in there new home till the summer set is made and ready to display!!!!

I believe that all my BOM's for March are done--all my challenges met for the OPAM challenge and for the Charming guys and girls Club--and I even got some other projects done and was able to add  them to the list--I was feeling rather "proud" of myself today--cause I also finished the top--you know the "top" I designed with my winnings for Kelly--when it Hit me---

I have only gotten 2--almost 3--baby hats knitted out of my 4 I am committed to do--luckily I have 2 days yet--will finish the 3rd one when I get off here and start the 4th one--hopefully!!!!

and then there has been the Jelly Roll club--done--except for todays--
and the Round Robin club--have started last Mondays design--so I am saying I am not behind on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!--yet???????????????
Q...How do you know when you're eating rabbit stew???

A....When it has hares in it!!!
Q...what do you call a rabbit who tells jokes?????

A...A funny bunny!!!!
Q....what do you call rabbits that live at the North Pole?????

Q.....What's a rabbit's favorite dance?????

A...The Bunny Hop of course!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs, Di

PS  Little sister and I have to go to doctor appts 2 hours away tomorrow afternoon--
Soooo--if we do not post tomorrow--it will be because we are "too tired" or" too headachy" to post--but we will be back on Wednesday!!!

I am happy to say that I have gotten this month's Schnibbles completely finished----
This month's Roundabout (Schnibbles) is all done---even the hand quilting part and the buttons--SEE--
I am "proud" of myself in the fact that this quilt is made with "leftovers" from 2 other charm packs--
one was Baskets of Flowers by Mary Engelbreit and the other fabrics are leftovers from Objects of Desire by Sandy Gervais--plus the background and backing I had---so I only bought the jumbo rick rack and the inner border and the binding fabrics---and I really tried to use something from my "stash"--but sometimes you just don't have "it"!!!!  I did have lots of red buttons--so--after working real hard on matching the blocks--I covered up the "intersections" with buttons in the end--and now nobody can see all my hard work!!!!!

I nearly had my last finish for March done--but did not quite make it--but they will be finished tomorrow for sure--just lots of button trims to sew on and they will be done---then I can "play" for a day or two before we start all over again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was able to start on sewing on another quilt at 10:00 am this morning--that is unusual for me--or used to be!!!

And I got to make "braids"---did you ever braid your hair when you were young or braid your kids hair--what about "french" braids????

The only time I ever remember braids was when I was in my 40's and my daughter did a french braid in my hair--I just loved it--but I could not get the hang of it--so went back to long fairly straight hair--or in a pony tail--guess I am just a "pony tail" kinda girl!!!

Today--I did more "braids"--fabric strip kinds--and what a laugh it was in the beginning--I guess I was trying to put "the tail in the front of the horse--instead at the point of the horse"!!!!  But I finally got it going at the right end and going in the right direction---
So here is a look at 3 strips of braids that are going into a quilt!!!!  these are soooo much fun to make and really easy--as long as you get your horse going in the right direction!!!!!
About mid afternoon--Little sister came by--and we decided we would walk over to the Quilt shop--I needed some fabric for the binding for Roundabout--so we took off--
I think we had nearly every bolt off the shelves to try--it was a challenge--but we finally "all" agreed on one and I got some of it and we went across the street to get an ice cream cone----ONLY---they had  "closed" the lunch counter 20 minutes earlier--so somebody must be watching out for my "figure" even if it isn't me!!!!!!!!!!!!

And on the way home out came my camera and here is a couple pictures of Spring we found---

I am not sure what these flowers are --they are not crocus --or at least not the ones I am familiar with!!
Easter Laughs---
Q...Waitress, what's this hare doing in my soup??

A...Looks like the back stroke!!!
Q....How do bunnies stay healthy???

Q...what do you call a bunny with a dictionary in his pants?????

A...A smarty pants!!!!!!!
Q...what would you call the Easter Bunny if he married a chicken??

A...the first Rabbit to lay an egg!!!!!!!!!
Q....What do you get when you pour hot water down a rabbit hole???

A...A hot cross bunny!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a wonder Sunday---
Hugs, Di
