YES---OUR SHOP IS OPEN AGAIN!!!!

Little sister and I went over town to our favorite place to shop--today was the first day they opened since last end of last year!!!!!  This is Ann in the blue and her Mom in the tan shirt--just two great ladies--and alot of fun!!!

And this is the "bag" that I had to "carry" home---

These things just did not want to spend another night in the shop----

they heard I had a nice "home" just waiting for them to become family members of!!!

So let's see what came home--

two stems of flowers--the one stem with the pink berries also has some beads on it--cute!!!!

this little tray with a cute handle was on sale---soooooo!!!!!

A new purse----OK--a cute new birdhouse "shaped" like a purse--just love this!!!!

two birds--I had found the yellow one and asked if there was any in other colors???

Ann--the owner--(yep--another Anne)  said there was and she began to search the store for it---it took her awhile to locate the green one---but then--two things happened---I could not decide which one I liked better--and I did not have the heart to put the green one back after Anne looked for so long for it---so you can see how I finally solved the problem--it's only money after all!!!!!!!!!!!

And two precious lambs came home with me--are they not the cutest!!!

OK Di--now you have some new treasures--where are you going to put them?????

The lambs are good lambs they knew right where to go--they are very much at home here!!!!

And the birds also found a home for right now--and they found some "nature" to enjoy with there new home!!!!

We have to think on the other items yet!!!  As it was time for me to get back to work---

I was working on this project---

I was finishing up the last couple blocks on the Tagalong with little sister called to go to the country shop and this is where I was in the lay out!

But I have went "beyond" this point now--but you will have to wait until tomorrow for the rest of this story------!!!!!!

I have to say today was a beautiful day out--it was on the overcast side alittle--but the air was even warm today--and even when the temps here have been high the last week or so--we have still had a wind off the lake with alittle chill to it--but today was "perfect" so tomorrow the temps are dropping and by Friday we may some rain and snow--go figure!!!!!!

BACK TO WORK---

When I went out for "fresh air" tonight after supper--I found some "pretties" to take pictures of--think I will add a new feature to the side panel--Picture of the Day--and I will put up a new picture each day of just "something that spoke to my heart" that day--yep that's what I am gonna do--if I remember by the time I get this post written!!!

Today was Anne's day to come--we both worked on doing some hand quilting for an hour and half--then she took me to the "other" grocery store for the things I get there and we got some sliced turkey for sandwiches and came back here for lunch!!!

Oh and I gave her the fabric with the cars on it, and she just loved it--can't wait to see how she uses it in a baby quilt!!!

This afternoon I worked in the sewing room--got this "pile" sewed together--

and this "pile" of blocks cut -- to be sewed!!

And while I was doing this--Little sister came by and did her weekly "post"--we decided it would work out better for her to come in the afternoons to do her post--than at night--and it did go better today for both of us!!!

And this one---was really surprised to see things in bloom--I had been "bad" girl and had not been outside for a couple days to check on things--last time I was out checking on them--they were only up a couple inches--I like surprises like this!!!

Well--I am outta here--got things to work on tonight--or I will have to find some "volunteers" to get that long to do list of projects done for April!!!

HEARTFELT EASTER STORY

Basically my Easter Sunday was the same as any other day here on the "ranch"!!!!

I was alone all day and worked on different projects, and just enjoyed the quiet!!!

I was on the phone around 7 pm when there was a knock on the door and I told them to come in--thinking it was Little sister--but I happened to look up and there stood daughter Mary--Hung up the phone quick--and then daughter Mary hands me this---

And then she tells me it is from her mother--my Mary!!!

I have to say I am in total shock---here is a "woman" who just is so sick--yet she takes the time and energy to ask family to go and fetch some chocolate easter bunnies for a couple of her friends--(notice too that it is dark chocolate!!!!!)

After she left--I just sat there--stunned---there is no other word for how I felt at that moment--except--stunned--then "sad and disappointed" in myself!!!!

I mean here I am still able to get around--at least most days--and did I do anything for anyone this Easter---NO--except a couple Easter emails--I did nothing--sent out no cards--bought no gifts or candy--in fact--I did not even decorate again--I have had the Easter tote down from the closet  shelf for over two weeks--and that is where it sat!!!!

I had to get groceries this morning--but this afternoon I called to see if I could go down and see my Mary--and she had the girls laughing and so down I went--with all the Easter Jokes I had--and we had alot more laughter--

Mary got some more flowers---

This vase has a cute pink bunny tryin to climb up the vase to "smell" the flowers!!!

Daughter Mary is the one standing up and Niki is a granddaughter that is here for Easter Break and is a school teacher in NC.

And this is Mary giving her other granddaughter-Val a big hug---

AND--yes-- I got me some more hugs, and "Iove yous" before I left---

Blogging friends--this woman is one amazing human being---how much "richer" she has made my life!!!   No matter whether it is in person or over the phone or as you are leaving--and no matter how many times she has already said "I love you" she says it again and again and she means it---in fact I actually get hugs from all her family--what a blessing!

Had to go here again this Friday!!!!  To the Dentist---had to fix a front tooth--it was a piece of cake----

And again --- I had my "favorite" dentist work on me-

I was a "big" girl and did not even need that shot for numbing!!!!  Was in and out in 20 minutes or less!!!

THIS IS REALLY "SCARY"!!!

We will need to put "sunglasses" on our Easter eggs for all the egg hunts on Saturday!!!!

Well--the good part is we won't need to hard boil them this year--just leave them out in the hot sun for a couple hours--think of the electricity we will save!!!!!

Little sister got me into "trouble" again today--we had to go over town and do some things and of course we HAD to go to the quilt shop--this is the owner Sue at O'Susannah's Quilt shop--she is constantly on the move!!!

First we looked at quilt stencils and we each picked out two (Ah--I think Little sister forgot that she doesn't quilt!!)--then we were looking around at the fabric ---

And little sister spots this fabric---

Is this not the "greatest" print and colors---I love birds and bird prints!!!  SO you know what this meant don't you?????    Little sister also found a bird  print just like this one only in a different color combo--see her's on her site!!

And here is what came home with me--Sue was putting away fabric when I spotted the darkest one on the bottom of the pile and I grabbed it quick!!!  We have two different patterns in mind to use these on---so this story will be continued at a later date!!

Mary---

I was finally able to go down and see and visit with my Mary this morning--

She would not let me take her picture so I took one of her flowers and some of the cards she has gotten---we still talk about her getting well--but---?????

It was soooo good to get my hug today--in fact I got me two of them--one when I got there and one when I left!!

NOW I HAVE A FAVOR TO ASK--

I have entered "Mary's Sunny Bunny" quilt in an Easter quilt contest--and I need everyone to go and vote on it for her----I would just love to go down on Monday and tell her that the quilt she and daughter Mary helped me with--- won!!!!

I am new to this--but here is what I know--
