MADE A NEW FRIEND TODAY--

I would like you to meet---
my newest friend--

Presenting--

Ms. Toad---
I was out taking pictures of my garden--

like now sad these look--
my morning glories did not like that last frost we had--
but I did discover some flowers that are not ready to give up --yet--

and

then I saw these--

ahhh--is it spring--instead of fall--
as I was taking the photos of these--
I saw something move on the ground by the flower garden--
and that is when I seen  her--

I have to say--that one of two things have changed--
1. I have either grown up -- finally at age 64--
2. or photography had changed me--
cause not long ago--when I seen this kind of 'thing'--
I would of been running for the woods--rather back to the safety of my apartment--
( so now you know I was not a tom-boy growing up!!!!)
but now -
not only did I take her photo--
I talked to her--
and when I came up and down loaded her photo--
I had 'fun' studying her colors and bumps---

And yes I did go to the yarn shop today for class--
and yes I did put a recharged battery in the camera--
cause I had to get some new baby pictures--
are you ready--

Here is 'Spirit"--

they are just sooo sweet--
and are learning that they can play with each other and even with the toys some--
and they love to 'chew' on each other and their momma!!!!

DAY LATE---

I know that I said I would post some more finishes yesterday--
but??????
so here is the other knitted finishes from the other day--

this is a spare of the moment shawl I started--
and it was one of those projects at times that was too easy--
so I kept doing it wrong--unknit--knit--unknit--
but I do love how it came out--

It has a picot edging on it--

and--
this pullover shell got finished--

It is more red in real life!!!!

the front and back are a design of 12 column repeats to make this cute curvy look--

and I loved doing the neck edging and the armhole ones--
was really neat--now to wear it???

I think her next finish is this way--
No--it's this way!!!

Ahhh--look she got her hexagon fall quilt all done--
and she made Webster happy--

yep--he looks mighty happy to have his own table covering!!!!!

so now it is on to the next project----

KNITTING AND KITTENS---

Hummmm--wonder which one you want to see first?????
Of course--

One little grey baby in a basket--

and one little tiger baby in a basket---
this poor little girl--when I sat her down in the basket--
she 'shook' so hard she nearly turned  the basket over!!!!
so I ran in and got her brother for her--

and then I had 'two' little babies in a basket!!!
but keep an eye on the tiger one--

see how she wants to attach herself to her brother???

Don't leave me 'big' brother--
the world out here is big and scary!!!

Ok--now for the more boring part--
first I did get two areas decorated--
here is the before--

first one was my counted cross corner--

I got me a new/old floor lamp from 'up on the hill" shop--

I do see that those counted cross stitch 'fairies' have not been showing up to stitch!!!!

Then did the other corner--

I really like this set up--
everything here is new this year!!!

and for knitting--
I actually have '3' finishes--
but will only show you one tonight--

Here is the 12 month size baby sweater that I finished--

I found 4 of these dark purple lady bug buttons at the yarn shop--
and they were the perfect size for this sweater--
the fourth one I sewed to the top of the hat!!!

I DID IT---

got this shawl finished and off the needles--
will block it tomorrow--
and let me tell you--
it was a simple pattern--
so simple in fact--
that------
I kept messing it up--
I think at the half way point on--
I knitted--then unknitted--
knitted--unknitted--again and again!!!!
and I want to know 'Why'--was I so determined to get this one done!!!!???????

Did a walk today with the big boy camera--
and here is some of the results--

one house down the street has like a English cottage garden in the front lawn--
( and no lawn!!!)

I actually got to meet the lady who lives here--
her name is Debbie--and she told me these red roses came from her Mother's garden--
went she passed away--
we had a nice chat--
and she said she is married to a guy from England!!! how cool!!!

this was the only one left blooming--but it was sooo large--
and then I spotted this--

I believe this morning glory is a wild kind--she said they came up on their own--
but is this not just beautiful?????
and then later on the way home I found this one along another fence--

and this morning in my own garden --I found this one--

HEY--I DID GET SOMEWORK DONE!!!!

Look--
Webster is gonna show you two blocks--

house block is done--
and--

tree block is about done--
I decided I think I will put apple buttons on my tree!!!!
and I have 2 more blocks started--
but--
once again the outdoors called me--
and you know I had to go by and check on those sweeeeet babies---

Momma and the little grey one--
see his eyes are open--

and momma is teaching him to read already!!!!

and here is the little tiger one--
wonder how much longer momma thinks she will be able to keep them in that little cubby??????

New self stripping yarn--
Have looked at this for a long time--
it went on sale for 40% off this week end!!!!

And --do you remember back to June when I got some plants for the flower garden????
( I know who can remember yesterday--let alone back to June????)
anyways I got 2 morning glory plants--
one purple and one blue--
and you have seen lots of photos of the purple ones--

it has bloomed for months now--but no 'blue' ones!!!
but--look at what I found this morning---

a big  blue one--actually there was 3 of them--
and lots and lots of buds---
the rain had torn it a bit--
but I still love the photo!!!

and it wouldn't be a fall post without--

a few fall leaves!!!
these where lined up this way in the driveway this morning!!!!

well--the temperature here has dropped last night--
time for blue jeans and jackets and ---
I can finally wear some of those knitted shawls I have made-----!!!!!
