TWEAKING--

This cross stitch is finally framed--
she is soooo happy now!!!

and here is part of one 'new' wall decor--
I am not happy with the long red basket--
still think it should be black one-hummmmm????

and did take a picture of some more of the Virtues series I have gotten stitched--

and I am on the border to #9 of this series--
I want to get this series finished--
like now!!!!!

well--I actually do have the new sewing area all organized and actually did some sewing this morning--
welllll--
I did reconstruct a chenille bedspread this morning after doing today's tweaking job--
and that job took one and half bobbins to do--
will show you tomorrow--hopefully!!!

HAPPY MOM'S DAY--

Took this photo on the way home from mailing a couple packages at the post office--

SOME NEW TREASURES!!

Yesterday  afternoon I went treasure hunting--
took the day off from decorating, rearranging and such!!!
I found this little teacup and saucer for $1.00 in one shop--
and the green doily for $1 in another shop--

and this tea cup with the first one for $1 but no saucer--
and these 3 little tea towels for $1 each with the green doily stop!!!

And when I opened my door yesterday morning--
I found a gift bag by it and this is what was in it--

Someone thinks I am a Danica fan!!!!
and this person told me that Danica loves this candy bars--
and so does Di --as 2 of them are missing!!!!
now if they were covered in dark chocolate instead of milk???????????

I am still working really hard on the redecorating--
and I think I am getting close to the end--
just a couple more days-- and then I will be able to take pictures and show you all my hard work!!
that is if I would leave things alone--I keep moving things around, it seems!!

HAPPY MAY DAY--

I do love the month of May--
and the flower for May is lily of valley--

and we did have these in a patch on the farm when I was growing up--
So Happy May day--
( I know I am a bit late--but--the spring cleaning has to come first--
and it may take me until next May to get it all done at the rate I am going!!!!!!!!!)

WHAT EVER IS SUPERMAN UP TOOO???

Must be a new act of some sort!!!
Ohhh-
I know--he was here for the 'polar plunge' this week on the lake!!!
and it was  cold!!!

Ohhh--
and here is a guy who is used to the cold--

But I did  not know that he did 'head stands'???

Did get out yesterday with the camera--

a weeping tree across the street in bloom--

and a pink flowered tree on my way to the Yarn shop and the Quilt shop!!

And--

some bright yellow daffodils with some Christmas lights for a back drop!!!!

I am getting close to getting the reorganizing done--
today I need to finish up the new sewing area--
all has been sorted--just need to decide what 'equipment' goes in what drawers
so that I can easily get to them!!!

OH MY--

I don't even know where to start--
anyone have any ideas???
Hummm--
I did make it over to the Quilt shop the other day--
on my way to get some 'hot and spicy chicken wings'---

and I purchased these 4 --7x7" pieces of wool--
and they cost me $16.00-yep--$4 a piece!
But I wanted them for these--

the dark lavender to go with this one--

though--I think I can do better with the color shade for this one--
there were other aqua's there--
and like I usually do--I forgot to take the stitchery with me!!!
Now the first 2 in this series of 12, I made into small pillows--
but--
the brain decided the other day after getting these wool pieces home--
that I want to make a wall hanging/small quilt size with them instead--
there is 12 all together--
sooo that would mean that I would only need one piece of each color of wool for the backgrounds--
and here is #5--

all done and I have started #6--
so we area slowly getting there!!!

MAIL CALL--
what a wonderful surprise I got the other day when I got my mail and seen a 'you have a package tag in the office' in the box--
It was a large box of--

and I sorted out these to go in my stash and--
wooooo--wait-- a minute--I see something hidding in the pile--

Yessssssssssssssssss--someone knows that I love Chocolate!!!!
the rest of the box of fabric went to Anne for the kids quilts she does--
and she got excited too with some of the really cute prints that was in her share!!!
And who sent this box of lovelyness---
none other than my friend Alice in VA---

ON THE REARRANGING--end of things--
I am getting there--slowly--but surely!!!!!
I have the living room back to the way I like it--
and now have the furniture in the dinning room area that now will be my 'new' sewing room--
and am working now on taking care of the piles of quilts and things that somehow found there
way on top of the tables--
then we go back to the bedroom/sewing room and start to bring out all the little stuff you need to
sew with--rulers, threads, patterns--on and on!!!!!

ON THE DIETING THING==
what diet--I give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
one says 'eat this' the next one says 'don't eat that---
soooooo????????????????????

MY EASTER DELIGHT--

was going out to the flower bed and picking--

a daffodil to enjoy inside for the day!!!

and I worked at picking out buttons to keep and putting them in sectioned off box
and the rest will go to the sale--
I do hope that I am getting near the end of this 'sorting' project????

IT IS WEDNESDAY--

and a Wednesday before Easter--

So has everybody gotten there new Easter Bonnet ready???

And the eggs colored??
and Carrots bought to leave for the Easter Bunny's treat???
What about the Candy for the Easter baskets??
and don't forget that Di loves dark chocolate--
and miss gracie likes cat nip treats????

Soooo--if none of these things are not done yet--
best get to it!!!!

EVERYTHING IS NEW AGAIN!!

And Spring is here--

and I have even seen and felt the Sun a couple days now--
and they say our temps here will be mid 70's next week--
Just in time for--

for all good bunnies to smell the tulips!!!

I did get a couple more small counted cross stitch projects stitched--

Did this running rabbit--she is leaping over 3 flowers--
what you say--
you don't see any flowers--just stems--
welllll--
the  flowers will be buttons--one of these days!!!

the other cross stitch I have not gotten a picture of yet--
and am nearly done with a third one!!!
These are in last years "Lamb" series!!

I am still decluttering--slowly!!!
Did take a couple bags full of quilts and pillows to the Odessa library for them to use as raffles or to sell to raise some money's for books today!!
But now I am down to the 'hard' part--
sorting fabrics and quilting items and moving my sewing things to the dinning room area!!!
anyone want to come and help me????????????

(Except for you, Di, we need you get this decluttering thingy done--
we are getting tired of hearing about it!!!!!!!!)

APRIL IS HERE--

and nearly a week of it is gone already!!!
But it is ok--
cause the challenge for this month is:
----anything you want it to be----
----you decide on your own challenge, and let me know what you are planning to do--
and it can be anything from--sewing, quilting, knitting, organizing, gardening, cleaning,--
just set yourself one or two challenges for this month--

and then enjoy all the new things about 'spring'--
( or fall is that is your season--where you live)

A BIT MORE--

I actually did a bit more decorating for Easter--

I love this wool hanging--
but---
I never knew where or how to hang it--
so nearly gave it away--when I got this idea--
and now it is a keeper!!!

and here is what is on the dry sink under that window--
the best news is--
that this dry sink is cleared off for once so I can decorate!!!!!!!!!

and this is the top of the lastest table I bought--
and it is actually 'clutter' free for once!!!!

The other day I was in a bad way--and I needed a chocolate fix--
badly---
so walked over to the new health food store and this is what I found--

yep--this little bitty bar--
but--let me tell you--
it hit the spot!!!!
