A MINI TRIP!!!!

I had to take a little trip today--to the Dentist for a cleaning--and my dentist is an hour drive from here!!!  So it makes for a trip!!  And some people would get all excited cause the girl-friend who took me had a new Van that she got a couple months ago--and I do have to say that it is a nice riding Van--and I know how much most people "love" the smell of a new vehicle -- I used too---but unfortunately now my "body" can not take the "chemicals" that help cause the "new" smell---BUT I am happy to say I made it down and back---I do have to go back next Friday to have a front tooth fixed--but other wise I was a good girl today!!!!

On the way home we saw this huge pile of sticks and wondered if beavers had made it--so as I had my camera with me--she turned around and we went back and I took some pictures--

And as you can see--these beavers even like to drink the vitamin drinks--need to keep those teeth strong----

And here is looking over the bridge!!!

Then as were coming back closer to town up on the hill is this tree--I have "admired" this tree for years and have wanted to photo it for a long time--so--she pulled over and I finally have a couple nice pictures--and look at the color of that sky--just beautiful!!

OH--and little "guy" went with us--he mostly slept--but as we pulled into here to let me off -- he says--"look at what is hanging off my nose???"--well out came the camera again--what can I say!!!!!!

I did work on this piece of the Patchables this afternoon--

And now it is ready for finishing--I also got the third one started--but I am getting "antsy" to do some machine work--so maybe tomorrow--that is where you will find me????

As for my friend Mary--she is still hanging on--but they say she mostly sleeps all the time now--she has had alot of family coming to see her--so she needs what little strength she does have for them--so I do not see her--but do think of her all day and pray for her all day--and I miss her!!!

WORK OR PLAY?????

I love this picture--

It says--those were the days....

but --I often wonder in "those" days was sewing/quilting for them--play or work????

guess it depended on if you could sew well or was doing a job to repair something so you could keep working on the farm!!!!

To me--most days sewing/quilting is playing---even though it is alot of work at times--and even though I often ask myself "why am I doing this--why do I do sooo much sewing"?????

SOME would tell you that it keeps me busy --so I stay out of "trouble" and they may be right--but I do like to get into trouble once in awhile--makes for an interesting day????

Where am I going with this--AH--beats me--but lets have some fun just the same!!!!

I worked on this one side of the Patchables set today and have about half of the other side about done--so I am about half way done on the applique for the three pieces--this took nearly all day to do--did do alittle house work--but??????

Oh and some cute buttons go on each one--that will make this really "pop"!!!

Easter "fun" time----

man was blissfully driving along the highway, when he saw the Easter Bunny hopping across the middle of the road. He swerved to avoid hitting the Bunny, but unfortunately the rabbit jumped in front of his car and was hit. The basket of eggs went flying all over the place. Candy, too.
      
      The driver, being a sensitive man as well as an animal lover, pulled over to the side of the road, and got out to see what had become of the Bunny carrying the basket. Much to his dismay, the colorful Bunny was dead.
      
      The driver felt guilty and began to cry.
      
      A woman driving down the same highway saw the man crying on the side of the road and pulled over. She stepped out of her car and asked the man what was wrong.
      
      "I feel terrible," he explained, "I accidentally hit the Easter Bunny and killed it. There may not be an Easter because of me. What should I do?"
      
      The woman told the man not to worry. She knew exactly what to do.
      
      She went to her car trunk, and pulled out a spray can. She walked over to the limp, dead Bunny, and sprayed the entire contents of the can onto the little furry animal.
      
      Miraculously the Easter Bunny came to back life, jumped up, picked up the spilled eggs and candy, waved its paw at the two humans and hopped on down the road. 50 yards away the Easter Bunny stopped, turned around, waved and hopped on down the road another 50 yards, turned, waved, hopped another 50 yards and waved again!
      
      The man was astonished.
      
      He said to the woman, "What in heaven's name is in your spray can? What was it that you sprayed on the Easter Bunny?"
      
      The woman turned the can around so that the man could read the label.
      
      It said: "Hair spray. Restores life to dead hair. Adds permanent wave."

A LITTLE OF THIS AND THAT--TODAY!!!

I had one of those days where first I work on this project--

then I would work on that project---

then I would go back and work some more on the first one--

then I would work on another one---

which means---I did alot today--only it's all in pieces!!!!!!!

At 2:00 pm I had a doctor appointment--

I could not believe it when I walked down there--

it is just 1 1/2 blocks from here--

the parking lot was empty--

they had no patients--but me!!!

So----

I had everybody's attention today--the whole time I was there--

Unfortunately--miss Di's blood pressure is still high--

wonder if this is the reason---

and believe it or not --she looks alot like me!!!

Yes--I have a weight problem--but---

this just seems to be me!!!!

I can "starve" myself--and not lose an ounce!!!

the only way for me to lose is to walk--

lots and lots--and because of other health issues--

that is not possible---

So what is the answer?????

Besides I truly feel this is the reason I have some added "puff" to me!!!!!

A RAINY TUESDAY---

Well--the birds have been chirping for rain--and so we gave them some for the last couple days--and a bunch of them had alot of fun in a big puddle across the street--so I think they are happy campers, now!!!!!

As it was Tuesday today--it was Anne's day to come and quilt--she worked on a big lap quilt and I worked on my Roundabout--

After she left and I had some lunch--I did do "yesterdays" job--the laundry--so that is now done for another week--and I will be "clean"!!!!

then I quilted some more and while Little sister was here doing her post tonight I also quilted on it--

Think I just have 3 more of the main roundabout blocks to do--then the borders!!!

And guess what I found---more pillow ideas---

You can prop up baby on them---

You can let a baby--yawn--on them---

You can count sheep while laying on them---

You can have a birthday cake on them---

(decided that must be only dogs like pillow---no cats--??)

OPPPs---i tryed to tell Rover that he would get into trouble if he kept playing with that pillow--but he didn't listen by the looks!!!!

And you can "stack" them up in a rocking chair at Di's house!!!!

And you can use one to actually "sleep" on--and that is where I am headed!!!!!

PS--Mary is in her final days--she is mainly sleeping now all the time--Oh how I am going to miss our times together--

PILLOW TALK!!!

Yep--we are gonna "talk" about pillows tonight--now don't anyone go to sleep on me---at least not till you finish reading my post!!!

There are pillow fights--I miss having them!!!

Pillow talk--Ah--I remember them too--but now sure if they were "good" ones or not???

Some of us like to snuggle on a pillow--

Some of us like to get our "crown" and be photoed on a pillow!!!!

Some of us just like to take them apart---

And some of us just like to decorate with them---

Guess I fall into the last picture here---BUT---look---

Presenting the lastest Pillow to my "collection"---the Oopise Daisy design by Jenny ---I just LOVE, LOVE LOVE it---thank you Jenny---

the funny thing is---last Friday little sister and I went to the Quilt shop and for whatever reason I came out with the 3 pieces of the new "Blush" line--having "no" clue that I would use them sooooo soon---but here it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it goes "perfect" in this rocking chair--even the quilt on the back goes with it--but I am hoping that next months Schnibbles will look great made up in the charm packs of the "blush" line--( I do not have these charm packs -- of course--so it would mean???)

Then as the little half square triangle pieces where all sorted on the cutting table -- I said--ok you "guys" are next in line--

And out came another "pillow"---this one will go nice with the Roundabout Schnibbles quilt for this month that I am in the process of hand quilting---and I did get alot more of the quilting done on the that today too!!!!

I GOT MAIL---

My last order for this month came in today and here is my goodies---

Finally got the rest of the fabric I needed to do a project or two with the Authentic line of fabrics---

the flower one on the left is just because I liked it --but will probably go in my Civil war collection---and the little flowered one is from the Hatfield line and I have a couple charm packs of that and a solid plum to go with them--soo----

And these two just "chirped" there way into my heart!!!

To all my blog friends out there who are praying for my wonderful Mary--

I was unable to see her again today and fear that I will not see her again--it is now just family time for her--she is not good at all--I just pray that that----
