OOPPPSSSS!!!!

My brother and my sister in law was here today from Tampa, Fl visiting--
and I was educating them on what "blogsites" where and what all you did on a site--
and how many I had--
and in doing so --
I guess one came up--

so here we are to add something to it--
and as today is Flower Wednesday--
and I did not get new ones sewed--
here is some photos from ones taken a couple days ago--

by the way--
a bit bout my brother--
because he took care of my father and mother pretty much from high graduation until their deaths--
so there for  he kinda got stuck doing work working all his life--I asked him today, what he would of liked to have done with his life if he had been given a choice --
and his answer surprised me--
he said he would of liked to have been a photographer and maybe a journalist!!!
my mouth dropped open--cause that has always been my dream too--
and we both wanted to photograph the same things--houses!!!!
How cool is that??????

MOVIE TIME---

Me and Thelma, a neighbor went and seen this movie on Sunday afternoon--
it really is sweet movie for old folks--everybody is just great in their parts--
so go see it today!!!!

Ok--time for some photos of my favorite "treasure' shoppe--

now is that not one nice looking 'pig'????

This building is called the 'old iron building'--and has been her for many many years--

this building comes to a point here in the front and that is a busy street/road behind it--

and look another pig greets you as you walk inside!!!

and there is our Sherman with a customer--or he's hoping she will be a customer!!!

I love that old phone sign on his wall--if I had an old farm house I would have that!!!

Hi Sherman--don't look now--but all my friends are reading all about you!!!!!!
This is one of the shops where alot of my furniture came from last year!!!

Now wasn't that a 'ducky' show and tell story????
(these ducks where sleeping and sunning themselves on this rock in the lake on Sunday!!!
(don't worry--I only took 136 photos on Sunday alone!!!!)
so stayed tuned for maybe more!!!

Wait you say I am a quilter and you haven't seen any quilting lately???
well--I have been working on handquilting a quilt --and it is almost done--
so hang in there!!!!

FOUND IT---

I have been looking for some kind of older doll bed--
or cradle to display my hand made doll size quilts in--
and last week one day ---
I found it--

and the price was right--$10.00--
and then I discovered a couple treasures about
when I got it home---

and then when I turned it over--
I found this--

this cradle is 37 years old--
I am so glad that someone thought to put this label on the bottom--
it does give some history to the cradle!!!

and this is the way the lake looked yesterday (Sunday) afternoon--

I was so excited--lots of sail boats here at the end of the lake--
usually they are way out on the lake---

OFF TO THE WINDMILL TODAY!!!

Ahhhh--Di--did you say Windmill???
Yep--the Windmill--it is an Amish farmer's market, plus!!!
It was a Senior's trip and there was 3 van loads of us old folks to go--
all women--!!!!!

this is the alley of shops looking north--

and this is the other end looking south--
there is shops on both sides--
and then there is 2 large building and a 3rd building that is super large--
so lots and lots of things to look and to tempt your wallet!!!!
along with lots of food booths!!!!

Oh my don't look now--
but "look" at what is over my head---eekkkkk!!!!

and here is one for my friend Alice with purple on his legs!!!!!

believe it or not -- this is the basket booth--
and I always have to come here--

I got the cutest little wood doll bench there--

and a cute fall basket!!!!
and I always have to stop at the Fabric booth--

today I got these 4 fat quarters--don't you love that feather one ?????
the 2 prints are cute too--one is chickens and one is fall with crows--
then the other one is just an orange print for my fall stash!!!!

and it wouldn't be a windmill trip if I did not buy a couple new coasters!!!
and have one of these--

Auntie Ann's pretzel--just a plain salted one--thank you!!!
and I ate the whole thing!!!!!

Later I was sitting on a bench 'people' watching--

Loved these 2 cute angels--

and there smiling mom!!!!

Then I seen this stroller--

with 2 very shy 20 month old twins--
the man and his wife are these angels foster parents right now--
and she told me these two angels had been very abused--
so where having a hard time around other people!!!
I believe this couple in there mid 60's or older are also grown up angels!!!

And how do you like this T-Shirt??????
I got so excited when I seen it--I asked this young man if I could take a picture of it--
and as you can see--he was proud to pose for me!!!!
so shall we ask for this kind of 'rain' tonight!!???????

and I did buy some produce--
6 ears of corn--wonder who will eat 6 ears here at my place?????

VINTAGE CAR DAY--

Here in beautiful downtown Watkins Glen--
and I did get over town and took some photos for you--
but what started the journey was this photo--

That is our building in the background--
I was upstairs doing counted cross stitch near the window--
and I seen this and just had to go down and take a picture--
good thing I went when I did--the owner got there the same time
I did--but he stepped back and let me take the picture--
is this cute or what???????

they shut the street off to traffic from noon until sometime in the evening--

Talk about having a picnic in the streets!!!!! Party time!!!!

they paint the checkerboard in the center every year for this--

Looks like Di has been shopping again--
where did she go this time???

and a pretty copper solid piece!!!

one of these really is 2 pieces--the one in the back--hummmm!!!

Oh and look at these cute little packages of rick racks and ribbon--
I know I bet "Di" went to Shabby Fabrics remnant sale online--
and I bet she even got free shipping on this order--
and those fabric pieces I bet--she got to go with some charm packs,
layercakes, that are already in her stash--
and pieces of trims are always good to have on hand--right?????

In her walk overtown this afternoon--
to go to knitting workshop--
her camera flew out of her pocket and she got you some more flower pictures!!

I did work on a counted cross stitch project last night tooo--
