SQUEAKY CLEAN-----

Me and the lady of the house--Di---worked hard today --

We cleaned house for the arrival of "Di's" new housemate--

and my new playmate!!!!!!

We wanted everything to look nice and neat and fresh--!!!!!

the first room we cleaned was the bathroom--

now I can see taking some things out of there to make room for the litter box---

but did she really need to scrub the tub and walls and put up a new shower curtain????

And before she could put up the new shower curtain she had to launder it--

then she got it all up and discovered it was really a little too long--so she actually took it down and shortened it and re-hemmed it--why--the new housemate could care less?????

Here is all the house mate will care about--

the new litter box---What is that thing beside it????

Oh that is the vacuum cleaner wearing a dress----

Now how funny is that--folks---

we need to tell "Di" to stick to her sewing!!!!!

She did some work on rearranging some plants--

then she put this cute wagon--

In front of the window as she was told that her housemate likes to lay in the sun---and right now with all the leaves on the trees this is the only window that has some sun coming in it--and this is right besides Di's sewing chair--soooo!!!!

Then Little sister popped in and Di put her to work helping her get the three drawer unit out of the closet that holds the fall and Christmas fabrics in it and they put it under the sewing table so Di can get to those fabrics--then had to redo that end of the closet--

Then Di created a sleeping place under the table--

See the nice rugs for a "comfy" napping place!!!!

And then we had to make a special place for the food --

She decided this closet was a good place as she plans to do the "feeding" of the housemate there in front of the closet door---and she is hoping this MIGHT just keep the housemate out of the kitchen and from under foot there---but you know what they say about --best laid plans--so---

the laugh may just be on Di again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She did alot of other housework besides this---have no idea "why"--

doesn't she know it will just get dirty again--and now with two of them living here--it will be sooner--than later!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well--if all goes well--tomorrow is the BIG day---!!!!!

LITTLE SISTER 'LAUGHED' AT ME!!!!

I told little sister last Saturday--that I was going to take the first week in August off!!!

No sewing---just play around with "tweaking" the apartment--maybe read a book or two--sip Ice tea--nap whenever--maybe do some knitting-----

AND that was when she really "laughed" at me!!!!!!!

She said, " I knew you couldn't go a whole week without some kind of needles in your hands"!!!!!!!!!!!!

WELL---

I did OK on Sunday--remember I went "shopping" all day--

but by Monday morning the "laugh" was on me---

I was back to working on bom's----

What can I say????????

I am confirmed "stitch alcoholic" ---no two ways about it!!!!

Yesterday was Anne's day--we only stitched a little while and then we went to Wal mart--I was still trying to decide on the office chair?????  I got to sit in two models in the store---still did not know what to do?????

Did buy two nice nightgowns all cotton and got a deal on "undies"--12 pair of Fruit of Loom for $6.00 for the package--wow!!!!!

Later in the afternoon--girl friend Denise came--by then I had discovered that my wood green rocking chair would work at the computer table just fine--sooooo---

we loaded up the office chair and returned it to walmart!!!!!

Little sister decided it was her turn to do something with me--so first thing this morning we had to go over town---

and yes--we went to the Quilt shop--and this is what came home with me---

These two reds for using in the new School house mini doll quilt--

found these two in the Christmas isle and both were nearly gone-so got some--I mean if everybody else "likes" them--then I need to toooooo!!!!!!

actually they will go nicely with some of last years Christmas fabric stash!!!!

And it is hard to see here--but this has different colored dots and will go nicely with some of the fall fabrics I have already gotten!!!

We did stop and have lunch at the "Happy Days Cafe" today and played a couple games of gin rummy--(little sister won them all today--think she cheated!!!!)

AND--believe it or not--I got some finishes done today---

My three Jelly roll blocks are all done--

These were soooo easy this time--I really did "goof" alittle on the gift one color wise---but only you and I know that!!!!!

ALSO--

got this month's Sentimental Journey bom all done--these are so neat to do each month--

Have also gotten two other bom's prepped that have come in so far!!!

Picked this Magazine up at the Pharmacy while getting my Prescriptions filled--

I believe this is my first time buying this magazine---

I know some of you are "crazy" over the M.L. that started this magazine--

and I have met him---in fact out Quilt shop helped to launch some of his success in the quilt field---unfortunately--He is not a favorite of mine---so I would not buy the magazine---

but now he is no longer involved with it--and it is a good magazine and the language is more to my liking---

What a delight story and great pictures and only nice things said about our gal!!!

Then--

Our own Jaybird--Julie Herman had a nice informative interview in the back--too!!!

OK--think that has caught you all up--I failed to mention that when I go out of town shopping and to so many shops that I will be "out of it" for a few days??????

OH--we get to eat some "good" food again--went grocery shopping tonight--refrig and freezer are full once again--yes!!!!! (and yes--this time chocolate and ice cream came home with me!!!!!)

Oh yes--Di--has Kitty on the brain---

Tomorrow she is spending the day getting ready for her new housemate!!!!

WHAT'S IN THE BAGS??????

Oh--my--but "Di" goofed a little I think!!!!

No she did not "over spend"---

she was very good and stuck to her list--all day!!!!

But she forgot to say in Fridays' post that she was going "out" of town shopping!!!!

You are all soooo funny though--

I really enjoyed your answers--and I heard from 3-4 new readers out there--thank you for following me--and they even gave the same answers!!!!

So 4-5 of you said -- chocolate---and I did not bring any chocolate home--but I ate two squares of dark chocolate while shopping!!!!

And 4-5 of you said--ice cream--again--I did not bring any home--except in my "tummy" as we stopped for a tasty freeze on the way home!!!!

Now here the tally goes up---

and you were right--I did have fabric on my list---

and I stuck to that list---

I wanted some plain white--got 4 1/2 yards of white---

I wanted some fabrics for some doll dresses--got these with that in mind!!

I sorta did not actually have these two written on my list--but am still looking for fabrics for a quilt for DS for Christmas--we need to do black and white with music and cats on it--found these two--got 1 1/2 yards of the bottom one--thinking it would be "perfect" for the borders!!!!

this was the main group I was after==some purples and some oranges for a Fall project I want to do this month---Yumm!!!

I did come out also with these--I did have buttons on my list--I thought they were half price this week at Joann's--but it's next week--but did find these on sale--the brown package is doll hair!!!!

So I did really good at Joann's--right????

Did some office shopping--

Ink color for printer--

and a new office chair---BUT--it is still in the box--as I don't know if I am going to be able to keep it--remember--I have that "dumb" illness that I react to Chemicals and there will be alot in this new chair--with the plastic and the leather fabric--soo what to do???

Vitamins---but guess what--two have to go back--did not realize the mg on the Potassium was so high and not sure about the ingredients in the Calcium ones either????

they were on the list!!!

OK what did I do today--

Napped a couple times---that was a long day yesterday--left at 10 am and did not get home til 6 pm---

And don't faint on me--but I did some housework today and cooked a good supper and even invited Little sister to share it with me--wonder if that is why I feel like I am starving right now????????

And I started on the first bom for August that I got in --

This is the Sentimental Journey one--I still have some fancy scroll stitching to do going around this block--but hey I did do some stitching today!!!!

Think I have made up for not posting yesterday---
