I FELL IN LOVE

This week I was   working on the hand piecing block--
Cathy--
and remember I am doing 2 different color ways for each 'book'
block that we make--
and for some reason I always seem to hand piece the Christmas block first--
and when it was finished--
I fell in love in with this combo of fabrics and that little 'fussy' cut center!!!
so the next morning--
I pulled out the scrap of the fabric that I had cut the little bunny from--
and ended up getting 8 more fussy cut center blocks--
so that means I would have 9 blocks total with the one I already stitched--
and--folks that a nice size quilt for me!!
so--
then I had to go back through the Christmas prints to find one for the Christmas
quilt I am making for a donation-
and this one is 'sweeter'--look at all that candy?????
(now-the rest of the story--I had no problems sewing that first block together--
but this one--well--some crazy person sewed 2 of the blocks wrong and I had to
unstitch them and do them over--and to the 'crazy' person's defense--
she was watching an intense movie!!!!)
so what this all comes down to--
and --I hope this crazy person realizes is--
she now has another quilt project on her 'to make' list!!!!!!!!!!

This afternoon I will attempt to hand piece the other block for the aqua quilt top
with the Cathy block!!
of course it will also require a small cup of chocolate ice cream first!!

I have completed 'one' project for my OMG challenge for April--
and have it hung up and photographed--
but am now --yet--working on the second project--so will wait to show
the photo when I hopefully will have the second one done too!!

*********************************************
I know that alot of us are very much ready to go see our--
our favorite Hairdresser--
and it got me to thinking-about all the hairdressers I have went to
in my life--some short term--some for a very long time--
and some really bad experiences and some scary ones--
so--
have reset the date to April 30th--Thursday so everyone has time to write all
about their hairdresser history and stories--
I think On Sunday--we should all post about our hairdresser experiences--
I will post about mine then too--
so come and enjoy some good reading I am sure!!

Glad you got your April OMG done.. think I should start mine sometime soon? I too enjoyed Cathy... and I also was one of the lucky ones who got to 'unstitch' my block! I put all 4 of the small triangles together backwards!

The candy cane fabric is a great fabric choice. Funny though, I have never cared to eat them or little peppermint candies.
