I woke up yesterday to this 'squirrel' talking to me--
Remember that I stopped working on This quilt the day before when I went to put on the last border--
and it said 'NO'--to it--
But as I woke up --this little red squirrel reminded me of a piece of Christmas fabric that I had gotten and that it was just the 'right' one for the outside border--
so being the obedient quilter to red squirrels--I went 'pawing' though my Christmas fabrics and found it--and by 'golly' it was a perfect pick--
so after breakfast--the fabric got measured and cut and sewed on--
you can see the fabric in the squirrel photo a bit better--it does add a nice frame and it not nearly as busy as this one--
I love this print--only it was just 'too' busy for this nature top!!
Then I set to work on sewing the lattice on these Christmas embroideries I did while watching my Nascar races--
and I got this far--one of the colors in the lights on the lattice is the same color as the corner stones--

I do like the fabric you chose to frame the squirrels 🐿 🐿 ..
Also like the smashing on the Christmas 🎄 stitcheries....
Great fabric your chose! I never have 'just the right fabric' in my stash. I have to go shopping tomorrow for some border fabric that I should have gifted on Friday. Oh well. I'm being super careful, which translates to super boring. But....better safe than sorry!! Stay safe yourself.
The border looks great - just right:) I think I have a good start on next years Christmas quilt ... nearly finished quilting and need a border :))
Keep safe, hugs.
