Actually it was a '3' ring carnival around here all week--it was resident appreciation week--so they had some fun things going on--and the lobby and dinning room all decorated to look like a carnival--I did not join in much--not really my thing and those darn needles I have are always calling my name!!! ( also learned we had 9 cases of Covid in the last 2 weeks in the building-not good--one just about thinks it's gone for good--and pop goes the Wiesel-it's back--or really still here!!)
So what did I do this week--if not party'n???
I got this week's County block done--
This is a 5" square log cabin block--that I hand pieced--haven't done any hand piecing in awhile so it was fun to do--(others did machine sewing on this one--you know me--gotta be a bit different)--and I was soooo happy to have it come out a perfect 5" square--even though the photo doesn't look it--must be the angle of the camera.
And here is this week's heart block--
This still needs a button on the two bottom pieces--but that will be added after all the blocks are together and hand quilted--Oh and I did go on an adventure on Tuesday--before going grocery shopping, my friend Cheryl and I went to a Mexican restaurant that is in the same plaza--now I have walked past this place for 4 years--but never went in--actually--I have never really been to a true Mexican Rest--It was very nice inside and busy and the food was huge and very tasty--I had lots of leftovers!! Will be going back for sure--
And here is a pretty plant I seen on the way over to the Post Office on Monday to mail my friend in NY, her Birthday box--

what is your favorite farm animal??? Mine is baby goats or lambs or -----!!
I immediately thought prairie points or rickrack for the sisters quilt. I wonder what you were thinking? Looks like you have been keeping busy. Hope the bugs stay out of your space.
You've been busy with your needle and thread. Your heart blocks are all such fun. Hopefully you are well away from the hurricane this week. It doesn't sound fun at all.
Hope you are okay--we hear up here in the NE that the hurricane is making landfall as a CAT4--stay safe hugs, Julierose
Thanks for your commitment to making this blog so informative
