I really didn't believe I was going to be able to get this months--
even worked on--
But I took this week off--from the drama and decisions--and have just sewed and fixed myself some good healthy meals--!
And I got the '4' gingerbread blocks that I embroidered last year from Melisa--
made into a wall hanging--this was this month's challenge for me--
And I have the backing made and cut and the batting pieced and cut to size--so this one is already to go into the basting pile!!
When I found these 4 blocks I also found--2 small gingerbread men I had hand appliqued onto stripe background--what to do with them was the next question--?????
So first I reshaped the squares and appliqued them unto a larger background piece of fabric--
OK that is done--now where do I want this project to go??
Here is where it went---
I how have '2' gingerbread men place mats--just waiting for a mug of tea and a fresh plate of gingerbread cookies!!!! And yes those are French knots holding down the wide white rick rack!!!These were fun to make--!!
---and now '2' Christmas projects are pretty much made--
Now back to working on a new months worth of projects--whether new or old projects--and even though I can't believe it--Fall project time is fast approaching-----
And here is the 'folding table' for me --set up--to baste some wider quilts that need basting---
Oh and I even got back to doing my counted cross stitching in the morning--oh how I missed that each morning!!!!
SO NOW WE END JULY--DID YOU GET A CHRISTMAS PROJECT WORKED ON IN JULY--TELL ME ABOUT IT--
HUGS, DI

Do you like gingerbread--cookies--cake??
That’s a cute finish …
Pleased you’ve had time to cross stitch.
Congratulations!! Love it!. This was a fun read seeing you do what you didn't think you could! Taking a week off from life must have been good for you.
I like the little nibble of your creative space you showed us.
Both Christmas projects turned out really cute. So glad you made your goal for the month. No Christmas sewing here, though I am thinking about making some bags as gifts this year. We'll see if that actually happens.
Oh my your gingerbread projects are adorable, Di!!! It is so exciting to see both of them. I love how you set your gingerbread blocks. Thank you so much for stitching them. I still have mine waiting to be finished. Great idea on having a table dedicated to basting . As far as the question I love gingerbread cake and cookies, but it seems that the cookies win out on being made each year. Have a blessed day. Hugs.
