GUESS WHAT DAY IT IS???

TO ME--yep--today--Tuesday is another milestone birthday for me--I just want to know 'how' I got here--one minute I was a teen ager--can't wait to be out on my own--then a mother--then a working single parent--then a daughter helping her parents though cancer and the end of their lives, and then a Senior citizen--oh--my--what a ride!!!!!

I do have finishes to show you in my real life right now of being a quilter--

first up is May's block from last years stitch along with Melisa--all hand quilted and hung up to enjoy for the month of May-

and I also did Junes block--

When I need to finish one--I always do '2' while I have the supplies out--and this time I even have a 3rd one ready for hand quilting of her's it was a bonus block--but it's not finished yet--

And I got the red hexie project finished--

Doing that big stitch line around the blocks really set this piece off ---

And here is where I was on the Orange Peel stitch along on Saturday--

But I  have worked more on this one since--and in fact I had ordered a few more 'yellows' for this one--

I had 2 more yellows ordered--only when they came in they were a pretty light green background--yet online looked totally yellow???

And here is what I am doing with these 2.5" squares--

I am making Grandmother Garden flowers--from these Tida prints--I have a third one done since I took this photo!!!

And here is where I am on the Counted Stitching project--

I have gotten a bit more done on this one--but not alot!!!

And for May's Chookshed challenge--I, again, chanced my project as mine was a Christmas project and I am just not ready yet for working on Christmas--so I picked this project--

I have played with these blocks off and on--for over 10 years and keep unstitching how I did the flimsy--hope this time I can finish them and like them????

And here is some better photo's of Jenny's bom for 2024--

These were such 'sweet' little designs to stitch--thanks Jenny!

And look what showed up in my plant--??

My own little Fairy and her house!!!

Well that mostly catches me up on the stitching from--

But I have a question for you---
Are you doing any 'stocking' up--for the shortess that they say will happen???  During Covid I did but all the wrong things really and then alot of it spoiled and had to be thrown out --and I did get caught with no toilet paper--So I am doing some--but this time with things that I know I will use and will last for a long time--if nothing else I figure I am saving money cause we know that prices will be going up--so just wondered if you are also doing anything in stocking up--and I know we all have lots of fabric and patterns to keep us busy--oh and I did just ordered some more thread--was running low and found out that Connecting Threads was having a sale--and for whatever reason--I have always used their thread in  my sewing machine!!!!

GO OUT THIS WEEK AND HAVE SOMETHING SWEET TO HELP ME CELEBRATE MY '77TH' BIRTHDAY!!!  THEN TELL ME ABOUT IT--WHAT EVER YOU DO THIS WEEK--ENJOY YOURSELF--
HUGS, DI

Muchos BESICOS.

I am starting to "stock up" --a few fabrics and supplies (threads etc) before the prices go sky high--fabrics are alreayd pricey i think --$44 for a layer cake??? Really?? i have been getting 1/4 or 1/2 yds to round out my stash ...
You have so many lovely projects going, Di; nice works in progress...Enjoy your day hugs, Julierose

Happy Birthday, Di! So fun to see all that you're working on. Your May and June hearts are so pretty. I still need to finish the strawberry heart, but will probably display it in June! I'm not really stocking up on anything - hope I don't regret that.

Happy happy Birthday, Di. I hope your day was a beautiful and bright one! You have been a busy busy bee with so many wonderful projects. I just love your heart blocks ! The fabrics are perfect for each heart. Your hexies look amazing too. I just adore the LHN farm piece. That is on my To Do List. As far as stocking up, I am like my grandma's and have always kept a stockpile of food and supplies which I rotate. Have a blessed day. Hugs

Happy Birthday and many many more. Stay healthy.
I haven’t stocked up on anything specific yet. I’m okay with eating simple meals so we’ll get by till something changes for the better and groceries are more affordable. I’ll support our local farm markets this summer. Kathy

Happy Birthday! Hope you got something sweet. Lots of fun projects to play with this month. No, I've not stocked up on anything I don't normally keep a spare of in the house (like hand soap, I can't always find the right formulation, so I stock up when I do).
