Hello April--
I did this, whole 12 month series, and this one --is one of my favorites--!!!
I guess we will do quilt-y things first--
I have gotten this months BOM on the Country living project finished-
there was 2 blocks--the sheep and the embroidery block-both were enjoyable to do--I did get a bit colorful on the flowers--though???And Pink is the color for the month--so here is some of my jewels in the pinks--
first up is some 'fussy' cut ones--the two flower ones on the bottom is from a piece of fabric my friend, Anne, in NY sent me in her letter this week--and I noticed-- in laying these out to photo that I believe I could sew these together with a filler piece-- instead of having them with rows upside down like in the pattern I had seen--Hummm?????????????And here is lots of hearts --in pinks--all shades of pink---
and my 'other' self--the one who loves fabric and spending money--did a couple fabric orders this month--
These are fabrics for the second BOM-I and doing from Attic Heirlooms --the top piece and last piece are not from the line that the others are from--oh, and maybe the couple browns--??? This is suppose to be a quilt as you go project--so I needed to get my fabrics so I can start on that part--the blocks for #1 & #2 are all embroidered--am working on #3!!
And here is '7' Tilda fabrics that were on sale for only less than $10 a yard--good sale--I got half yards of these to make some Grandmother garden flowers to go with some I already started in the hexagons--Remember these--felt I needed more 'color'--at least that is what I am telling myself--to justify the order!!!!
And my purple pansy is so pretty--
Doesn't this one's center look like it is lit up???
And I did get to go to a Thrift shop last week--
I lucked out and found 3 of my mini cup and saucer sets--the one with the little bird on it had a tag that said 'Dayspring' on it--also the basket in the back is new-
picked up these two items--love the little white basket--
And this heavy glass dish--I seen it yesterday on facebook-- I seen a gal in a thrift store find this same one--and there was a 2nd piece--a creamer--so this must be a sugar bowl--now to find the creamer to go with it--they were both on a glass tray too--!!!!
I bought this new at Beall's--went to wash it and discovered a sticker on the bottom saying--Made in china-contains lead--what--I was gonna drink out of it--would of taken it back --but decided to keep--can you tell me why?????(answer--it's pink and has roses!!!!)
And here is my Easter decorating for this year--plus some rabbits on my desk--Easter just came too quick for me this year--I did have some plans--but at least most of my 'favorite things were out!! And I am keeping them out for awhile longer--I can do that--right????
I have lots of projects in the works--hopefully next week I will have some more to share with you--
KEEP THINKING GOOD THOUGHTS AND PLANNING THAT NEXT STITCHING PROJECT AND THIS TIME OF THE YEAR--GARDEN --PLANS ARE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST--
ENJOY AND HUGS, DI
