It started Sunday afternoon--a couple heavy showers--then at bedtime--around 11pm--it started and I don't think it stopped till noon or later on Monday--at times it hit my window so heavy that it would wake me up--so here in this area--we had 'rain days' off from work, school, and play!!!! My area here did not get it as bad as 3 miles up the road did--or a couple miles south of me--there homes got flooded, along with businesses and such and some roads even got totally washed away--lots of cars were destroyed and we had two deaths, to men drowning in a vehicle--so sad!!! We ended up with hardly any water pressure for 12 hours or more and had a 'boil' water issue all week till late on Thursday--and some leakage inside the building--one corner of my apartment up on the corner wall area has some water damage--no body was prepared this and there was no warning--it just kept pouring rain!!!! some area's got 24 inches of rain --I think we got 17 inches--we usually get under '1' inch at a time!!!!!!!!!!
And now--winter is coming next week end--nights to be in the 40's--ouch!!! Now where did I see my winter jacket and heavy sweaters??????
I did get some sewing done--
First I got this months Tiny House Cross stitched-
sorry--am having troubles with my photo download--And I got more cross stitching done on Mouse Postperson--
started the 'snow' design on a bottom row under the mouse and sled--
Got a start on this month's Country Hart embroidery design--
Finished off the brown jewels and started on the black ones--
And the last 2 days I have managed to get '2' baby quilts finished for the hospital--
this one is flannel top except for the fabric strip at the top and bottom to make the quilt 40" square--
And this one I cut 5 " squares from a new line --called Waddles and added the gold swirl fabric to round it out!!
today I got another 100% cotton yarn order in for the baby sweaters--
I have to knit faster--can't wait to get into some of these colors--even though I have already knitted sweaters in all these colors in the past!!!!
*******************
As for my finger--still using the brace and adding my 'silver gel' to the finger--it seems better--but I go for the MRI on Tuesday--so we will see--wonder how many 'days' it will take before I hear anything???
So I still need prayer--
***************
WELL--THE WEATHER IS CHANGING EVERYWHERE--THINK FALL AND WINTER ARE FAST APPROCHING--SO TIME TO THINK ABOUT SPRING PROJECTS WE CAN STITCH DURING THE NEXT FEW MONTHS--I HAVE A CROSS STITCH PATTERN I WANT TO ORDER SO ONCE MRS CLAUS AND A COUPLE CHRISTMAS ONES ARE DONE--I CAN THINK SPRING!!!!! WHAT ABOUT YOU????
WATCH OUT FOR THOSE GERMS--PEOPLE ARE GETTING SICK --IT'S FLU SEASON--SO TAKE CARE--
HUGS, AND BLESSINGS TO EACH OF YOU--DI
