We also bought one of these for our 3 cats. The were not enthused. Too bad we could not slow it down.
Our two cats love it. It took them a while to get used to it, but 13 year old Puss can't wait to have me turn it on in the morning. She has become a kitten again. Peanut hates going outside in the cold now, so this toy helps give her some activity inside. My husband bought an extra in case this one breaks.

My Daughter bought one for her little girl and she LOVES it. She has the one with a feather and it has different speed settings. I always put it on random which is pretty fast. She cries every night for her play time lol.
