THE END--THE BEGINNING--SUNDAY--

I need to report my September finishes--

For the --

I did get the Small Christmas quilt all hand quilted--

And I did get the dress blocks--

Put into a quilt top--

not once--

not once, but twice--

So far--this quilt has stayed but together--I had planned to get more borders on it and to the hand quilting phase--but it just hasn't told me what or if it needs more done to the borders--So for now we are still 'watching' it and 'listening' to see if it 'speaks' to me!!!!

NOW--
for October's goal--
for OMG--

I will be doing something and hopefully finishing these '20' basket blocks into a quilt!!!

My only other goal For October is--
to do my regular blocks in the color of the month--

Yellow--

Yep--- I only have '2' goals for October--
the basket blocks--
the yellow blocks--

I am tired and wore out and plan--(you did read the word--'plan' there???) to just breathe this month--
and go with the 'flow'--Oh and finish a quilt that I am hand quilting on now--and do some Christmas work with some of the new Christmas fabric I got a few months ago--!!!!!!

And for slow stitching Sunday--
I worked on this this morning--

and this afternoon while watching the races--I will be doing some more Christmas embroidery!!

I did get out on Friday and did some shopping with a friend--
we went to a quilt shop and I got these--
I love this batting and get it in the Request thickness and white--this was the only package they had left in white and it is crib size--she said that the white in this brand in all the thickness's have been on back order forever!!!

Then on to Hobby Lobby--
I got more baby yarn as it was on sale--

and last night I got all 8 skeins wound into balls--all ready for knitting!!
and I got some fabric--
and was surprised at first at their prices--most fabrics--even there --are $10 a yard--
and secondly--not alot of fabric--no holiday fabric--except the '2' I got and they are probably from last year's batch--no fall and no Christmas--what?????

Time to go--

HAVE AN AWESOME DAY WHERE EVER YOU ARE!!
LUV, DI

What a cute little Christmas quilt. I love the appliques. I ought to do something like that so it will fulfil my desire to do something Christmasy and have a quick finish.
The dress quilt reminds me of my mother who made all my clothes as I was growing up. It's a sweet memory.
I love the little Halloween cross stitch piece. It's really cute and festive without being scary - just perfect.
The fabric in the picture with the batting is really pretty. What line is the middle piece? I'd like to look it up. Really nice post.

Great finishes... and how fun to get out shopping with a friend. I was at JoAnn Fabric Store on Friday last and was amazed how much quilting fabric they had. I was looking for a wide back and they didn't have much in the colors I was looking for but I settled for one. And, yep, many of the fabrics were $10 to $12 a yard. They aren't as nice as quilt stores but are more reasonable with coupons.

I really like what you've done with the dresses. I prefer the version with the matching corner stones. And I never met a basket I didn't like. I have a basket quilt that is waiting to be quilted. I'm getting back in the swing of things finally, so maybe soon?

You've been busy! The Dresses look great and the Christmas quilt turned out beautifully. The Halloween stitchery is perfect for the season. Good luck with your October OMG. Going with the flow is probably wise, it's probably going to be a mad dash to the finish of 2020.
