It is a nice warm sunny day here, right now--
So I thought it was a good time to do a post and see what I have been up to!!
(some times I need to see 'what I have really been up to'--instead of what I think I have been doing??)
First I am happy to say-- I have a finish--
The Winter Birds are all finished into a wall hanging and all hand quilted--
for the design in the border--it looks like post cards and I just used the line around them to stitch--
in either the red or the green thread to match the color they used to outline the card!
And I just realized that this is probably the last quilt I will get finished for 2020!!!
I probably will start the hand quilting on this one --though--
it's been folded awhile and I need to press it--first--it is the only item I have basted --ready for hand quilting and as I like to do a bit of hand quilting each evening--this one is the winner!!!!
And other baby sweater is finished--
This size is 9-12 months--
and I started another one--
a red one with red/white trim--
and I started another pair of socks--
a pretty grey and pinks!!
This morning I got '3' more masks made--it hurts me to sew on the machine on Sundays--(don't ask me why--!!) But I had to get these made so I can launder them tomorrow--
I find the pleated ones fit me the best--so that is what I make--
I messed up on this last one--and and my snowman is too far to the edge!!! I made him for January--do you think folks in Florida will 'laugh' at me for wearing a snowman mask in January?????
And for slow stitching Sunday--here is where I am on the Christmas cross stitching--
this is a Slow train--seem to have trouble getting in cross stitching time!!!!
ON to other news--
First up--
I want to THANK everyone for their prayers for my blood pressure--it really was a bad issue--a month or so ago it was 200/120--and now--thankfully it is down to about 130/78 or lower--even going to the Cardiologist on Friday it was only 140/84 ( I have that 'white' coat problem--even though I have noticed that no one hardly ever wears a white coat any more!!!??) They have added a new med and so far no side effects and I seem to be able to handle it--!!! so thanks for the prayers and love--
OK--now I need to know why my photos when I download them from my camera now go to the bottom of my photo page and not into a dated folder like they used too?????????????????
Is it time to start baking Christmas cookies yet????
DO BE VERY VERY CAREFUL GOING ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW--IT IS REALLY BAD OUT THERE--AND MY WISH IS FOR EVERYONE TO STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY--
LUV AND HUGS, DI

Your bird wall-hanging is lovely, and I love that happy sweater, too! I also prefer the pleated masks, and had planned to make some Christmas-y ones but so far haven't gotten around to it. Glad your blood pressure issue is much better! I've been dealing with that, too, and it is scary and frustrating!
Good your blood pressure is better ....
Nice Bird finish and enjoy hand quilting the next one...
Great start with the cross stitch...
So glad the bp is better. I spy the hand pieced book club quilt next in the rotation! My kids prefer the pleated masks as well.... and I always decorate January as snowmen in Florida! Speaking of which - I need to make some more and the boy requested the around the head straps so he can pull it down while outside for PE at school. Stay safe - the numbers are crazy over there...
The birds make for a wonderful quilt. The border fabric adds a lot of interest to it also.
Ooh la la to the Christmas fabric masks. It is something I had intended to do but I have no Christmas fabric.
Your birds are beautiful!!!! And I love the seasonal masks. I think everyone in Florida will be jealous when they see your snowmen.
