Yea--we got some rain earlier this morning-and boy was it dark out-thought it was still night time--so my body did not want to wake up this morning--but I forced it too!!!!
As I got things to do--places to go--and people to see--(this is how when I my Mom was so sick with cancer--how I greeted her each morning--she loved it!!)
Well--we all know how all my week went--from the last post--stitch--rip out--restitch!! So I had decided to take Saturday off--
but--first here is what I did on Friday--
Remember last summer when I appliqued and embroidered these--well--the 'poor' things sat in a tote until Friday, and it was a 'just do it day'!!! I had a hard time trying to decide how to finish them--so I made mats out of them or you could hang them on the wall!!! These also got put into mailing envelopes and where over to the Post office by mid afternoon!!!
And ON Saturday I had told myself I was taking a non-quilting/sewing day off--
well--that didn't last long--
I had gotten down my tote with batting in it the day before and wanted to get it back up on the top shelf--but decided I really --might as well--cut batting for these '3' tops-first--
and while I was at it--I decided I might as well cut the backings for them too--So you know what I will be doing this week--basting these '3' for hand quilting--and I am ready for another quilt to hand quilt--as--
I also trimmed of the edges of this one and made the binding and sewed it on--(and yes--I still seem to be stitching something and then ripping it out and restitching it!!!! crazy really--)
I now have this half stitched down by hand--hope to finish it later today!!!
So much for taking the day off from stitching!!!
Here is a couple of the little rectangles I am embroidering for the Crabapple hill stitch along--
We have stitched 6 so far---and I got today's one to stitch later today!!
And here is where I am on the little red truck cross stitching--
just a little more to do on this one--
and here is where I am on the Farmhouse piece--
I have to really think on the squares placements with out having done the red part first--
I can only hope I am doing it right-
Oh and here is a 'silly' for you--you remember I talked about 'ordering' lots of shades of reds--
to find one I would like for these series--well--when I was working on the tree in the truck--I realized the red I used on the truck would be perfect--now I did look at that one--on the floss card--it just looked different on that than it does actually stitched up--I like the shading--oh well--we will see what comes in and then decide!!?????????
I need some help--
I know that you all use a camera for your quilt photos --
will you share with me what camera you are using and if you like it or not????
I have 4 in my cart at Best Buy right now---Oh and do any of them have wi-fi and do you use it or how do you download your photos to the computer????? I also only want one that has rechargeable batteries!
I also want a good zoom and one that does good close up for details--( I don't want much --do I??)these 4 run between $170 to $260--that's alot of money and not like it!!
The one I have used for the last 11 years was only $110--and it got alot of use!!!
ALL YOU FOOTBALL WATCHERS OUT THERE TODAY--HAVE FUN--ENJOY ALL THE GOOD FOOD--
LUV AND HUGS, DI
AND if you live up north or in the top half of US--hope you can keep warm during the deep freeze for the next couple days---

Your watering cans are so pretty. Those little birdies and the little red truck are sweet, too.
How do you keep track of all your projects? Do you have a fancy date book or calendar? Love the watering cans. wink wink!
I agree with Sunny , you always work on sew many great projects...
Your posts are very tiny Di, hard to read.
Do you publish in phone style mode???
The watering cans are really cute. You should have non-sewing days more often, you got so much done! You've got lots of fun quilts set up to finish and your stitcheries are all pretty cool too. Canon and Nikon are both good brands. I use a Sony DSC-HX90V point and shoot in my sewing room. I can recommend checking out B&H Photo and Video as a great place to order a camera, in some cases they may be cheaper than Best Buy. My computer has a slot for the memory card from the camera and I use that to download my photos. If you don't have that slot, you can get card readers that connect via a USB. My suggestion is to read the customer reviews closely. No one camera does it all well, but most will give you good pictures 90% of the time.
