JULY'S GOAL IS MET

I said I was planning on making up this set of last years color challenge each month--

and as of Monday this week--they still looked like this--

but then something happened and they up and flew all over my bed--it took them awhile to get themselves rearranged the way they wanted to stay--and then they had me sew them together!!!

yesterday they asked for the first border--the black one --for me to sew it on--they said the black brought out the pretty black in their bodies!!!  And today they decided on the other border!!!

and 'yes' that bright orange butterfly in the second row is turned wrong--she wanted to be different she said--and to show the world it's ok to be different, now and then!!!

This quilt comes out wider than my cutting table--and is about 48" wide--sooo--it will have to go into --the Future pile for when I get more wider ones --for me to set up the larger folding table for it's batting and backing--just hope they don't fly away on me in the mean time!!!!

And this is what is becoming of this pile--

fish blocks as leaders and enders from Bonnies blog site!!!

a couple more fish!!!

Still working on this months hand piecing quilt--almost there--and I have 2 more days to get it finished, plus rest of today--we will see!!!

TAKE CARE AND KEEP GARDENING--

HUGS, DI

Congrats and love how orange decided to be different! Love a headstrong block who know's what she wants.

What beautiful butterflies! You make great choices in your fabric selections. I especially love the teal one in the first pic!!
