Just when everyone really thought we could maybe go back to the old normal--
we soon discover that we are really still in the 'new' normal--and we must be more careful still at--
what we do and where we go --once again--
First though I do have 2 finishes for the new year--
a new counted cross stitching of a Church--and I have gotten #9 block on the snowman series--
he is out hiking and picking up snowballs to take home--the next block comes out on Thursday--
in the meantime I working an other embroidery piece--
On the Friday before New Year's my son texted that he was very ill with Covid--(this is his 2nd time with it--he had a bad case just before we went into lockdown March of 2019--so he thought he was safe and did not get the vaccine--and he is worried about having the same health issue as I do with chemicals--so felt he should not get the vaccines) And then yesterday when I checked on him--he said he is a bit better but my future daughter in law--Sarah was really sick with it--
So I would like to ask for some prayers for the two of them--
Thank you--
I am also back into a 'stay at home' mode--and even ordering groceries on line--again--we not only have to worry about this newest covid--the old one is still out there too they are saying--the results are the highest ever--and that is even with the vaccines and vaccinated folks--I truly don't know what else to say about it--????
I have gotten some cleaning done and all my Christmas is packed up and put away and I did get out my snowmen and displayed them--so I am moving right along---
TAKE CARE AND THINK THOUGH WHAT IT IS YOU WANT TO DO AND HOW TO BE SAFE DOING IT--
found this last one on a knitting site this morning!

Sending some prayers for your son and DIL. Wish I lived closer as I would be dropping off supplies to you. I had my mask on picking up lunches for the kids to go back to school tomorrow.... a bit nervous about that but... they are vaccinated and I know one will wear a mask. Not much else I can do.
Sorry that your son and future DIL have the virus. Praying that they get over it soon.I haven't checked lately to see how bad it is here. Just when you think it is getting better, a new strain comes along. Take care and be very careful!
Hope your son and future DIL feel better soon.
Some sweet finishes you’ve done…
Feeling like you...... The new norm is not what we were expecting at all is it..... Hope you family is ok.....
So sorry to hear about your son and future DIL. More and more of my friends are testing positive, so I mostly stay home alone. Groceries curbside yesterday. A solo walk today. And more time in the sewing room. Two gatherings for this week were cancelled. Continue to stay safe!!
A very cute church and snowman. You definitely made the most of your stitching week. We are back to if you are walking you are wearing (a mask) at work. They started that when we all came back from the holiday break. Not sure what to think. We've had several people out with what appear to be colds, no one is testing positive to Covid. But with so many of us having cold symptoms now we are starting to wonder about how well the tests work.
