WE ARE BACK

 Yep--the computer and me are up and running again-

spent 6 days or so with out the computer---my son came last Saturday evening and worked on it for a couple hours--but no luck so he took it to his computer guy--had to have a new hard drive installed--and I was lucky cause he was able to retrieve all my 'stuff' and set me up--so I did not lose any photos or such!! (cause I had been bad about backing up things!!!) Cost was $145--a whole cheaper than having to buy a whole new computer and I am a lucky Mom cause my son paid for it--Thank you Dan!!

Now I did keep busy and I did learn alot about my new cell phone--I was able to read some facebook, some of my emails and some blog sites--but I thought I would go 'blind' doing it--( you see I have my computer hooked up to my 42" Tv screen--that's just a 'tad' bit bigger than a cell phone screen!!!)

Remember me showing you the fabric line--"Home to Roost" that I ordered???

Well--this week I got the top designed and stitched together--

This is a table quilt for the kitchen table and I needed it to be at least 34-36"  somehow it ended up being 38" square--so the 1 yard backing was a couple inches too short--so had to add on a strip to make it the right size--this is ready for batting and basting--

And I got the last two weeks of instructions done on my round robin quilt top

one week it was stars and the next week was signature blocks --so I also embroidered words of flavors of teas in 4 of the blocks-top and bottom rows and on the 2 side rows --those 4 blocks have different types of tea--I am not sure I like this--color wise--but---

this next row is applique which I have been already doing--so have my thinking 'cap' on--

A lot more birdhouses have gotten done--but forgot to do a recent photo!!

Love stitching one of these each day--though some have taken a long time to stitch for being so small!!

And I got some counted crossing done--

and yesterday I finished this little Valentine project--and added my initials to the top part!!

Today our weather was more like July's--it got to 85 with a feel like 88--hot and steamy!! loved it!! but now tomorrow's high will only be 69--What--welcome to Florida weather in February!!!

Oh and Nascar season has started--with Sunday being the 'big' race--hope you tune in!!!  Might be fun to watch!!!
