LOTS TO GET TO--

Have lots to tell you about --

but first I have some sewing and knitting to show you--

Here is how my February Daily Embroidery  project came out--

I did some of my 'own' details and colors on this piece and the top part is Meg's pattern enlarged and added to the basic piece--Now--to decide what fabric to add for a border and to get this one finished--
I do have '3' empty areas to decide on --whether to add something or to leave it alone!!

And here is the yellow flower for March--
All appliqued--
and while working on this one--I had an idea for the centers on them--
so here are the first 3 blocks this year with the center piece--
and these centers are not finished--but that part has to wait until they are sewn together and hand quilted first!!

and a preemie baby sweater has been knitted-

and a second one has been started --this time with purple trim!

And I got in a sock yarn order from 'Webs'

a couple of these got wound into balls yesterday while watching the NASCAR races!!

BLOG POSTS--
I had an anniversary last month and haven't gotten around to talking about it--
I have been blogging now for '13' years--my first post was on Feb 18th, 2009--and just on this site alone I have done 2,180 posts!!   As I was looking up my information I also seen some old post photos--
Look at this huge pile of quilts--and  I made them all--this was probably 2012--and I have made many more since this photo--
and this one of my plants--about the same time--

and I am still making quilts--(though I have slowed way down--but I do work on some type of hand work every day--and I still am into plants--at least here--thanks to the plant store 2 blocks away!!  I also still do counted cross projects and I still am knitting--yet life has changed alot for me--different place to live--different friends (though still some friends from back in 2009) and a different life schedule!
And so far--I have no plans to stop blogging--
yet I am sad as so many bloggers have stopped--and I miss you all--
and I thank you all for following me all these years--here's to some more blog posts------!!!

Some of my dear blog friends just stopped blogging for one reason or another--and though I miss their posts and reading and seeing what they are working on--I am still in touch with several though emails or comments they still leave me--
But last Friday I learned of a favorite blog post author passing--her name was Michelle and she did a post called "the Painted Hinge" that she published every Friday--I am not sure when or how I learned of Michelle's blog--but it's been  a few years that I have read her every Friday--she did a decorator post on Fridays of things she had done and then others could link in and add a photo of their decorating or a recipe or craft idea and you could click on the link and go and read that site--
Probably sometime last summer Michele went and got the Covid vaccine and almost immediately became 'ill' and she really struggled with all kinds of health issues and at the end of the year a dear friend of hers took over the site and her's is called "County Road 407" and her name is Cindy--On Friday Cindy told us that Michelle passed away--she was only about 54 yrs young--I am so sad--you see in all that time that I read her posts each week--I don't believe I ever left her a comment!!!

AGAIN THANKS TO ALL WHO READ MY BLOG POSTS WHETHER YOU LEAVE ME A COMMENT OR NOT--
HUGS AND BEST WISHES, DI
