AND SO WE BEGIN--

Another new month of the year 2023!!!  with the month of April--this will be a busy month for me mid month to the end of the month--so I need to get all my monthly jobs done soon--And this months color of the month is Purple--so need to do some digging around to see what I have in purples!!!

I did get this past Friday's Heart block done--

When I was 'digging' around in my fabrics this past week looking for 'pinks' for the tulip blocks--I found a couple more fabrics for the heart blocks--and here is 2 of them--I am also really happy to say I found the left over fabrics from the Orchid quilt I am hand quilting and found one piece large enough for the binding on that one--I am on the 2nd wide border edge on that quilt--so it won't be long now I will be needing binding!!!!

And I did get work done on a top this past week--had hoped to get the whole top finished--but did get the blocks design figured out and them sewn together--

This is the sets of Churn Dash blocks  I have been working on from some of the Pioneer Women fat quarter pack that Anne sent me--I do know what I am doing to finish this one off--!!!

And I am still appliqueing the tulip blocks in the afternoons-

I don't believe I have repeated any of the fabrics yet--for the tulip blooms!!!!

And yesterday afternoon while watching some racing I ended up pulling  this crewel embroidery piece out and worked on it all afternoon--been awhile since I worked on it--

I really need to keep working on this one--it is close to the finish line--I have done all the work so far on this one in a hoop--but finally had to take out of the hoop to do these little round flowers with a lazy daisy stitch--!!!!(  I am one to not use hoops or such--I just want to feel the fabric in my hands and be able to twist and turn at will--but crewel work is better done in a hoop!!)

And --Look at this--all '5' teacups are cross stitched in--

and I have started the bird that is sitting on the top cup--once she and some leaves are done that are coming out of the top cup --I have to start all over again--there is a ton of back stitching on this one and 3 words to do on 3 cups!!!!

SO HOW ARE YOU DOING--IT'S BEEN A HARD WEEK FOR ME EMOTIONALLY-WITH FAMILY    WANTING TO DO ALOT OF TRAVELING DURING THE HOLIDAY---WITH ALL THE DAMAGING WEATHER IN THE MID WEST--WITH LOSS OF HOMES AND LIVES --MORE SCHOOL SHOOTINGS--AND I COULD GO ON--BUT--WE, ARE SO LUCKY BECAUSE WE CAN FIND SOME COMFORT IN PRAYER AND OUR STITCHING--
OH AND WATCH OUT FOR ALL THE EASTER RABBITS AND CHICKS OUT THERE HIDING EGGS AND COLLECTING CHOCOLATE!!
HUGS, DI
