EASTER SUNDAY

 First I want to say--Happily, Merrily Easter to everyone!! 

I am so 'glad' for each and everyone of you--and thanks for all the blog posts I got to read today--as--even though it is Easter  Sunday--again this year I am alone --the newly married couple is on their honeymoon and the girl child lives in Illinois --though she will be here for a visit later this month-

Good Friday--my friend who lives here and I decided to go to lunch we went to a new restaurant called--First Watch-- 

the first photo is of the lights inside--I wanted to show the light fixtures--but all I got was the lights!!??  And the second photo is of Cheryl --and look how they serve you water!!!

This is  mainly a breakfast and Lunch diner--and we happened to hit it at 12:30 and let me tell you--this is a very popular place--we had a 15 minute wait for a table--though it does have lots of tables and even an outside seating area--

This is not what we got--forgot to take a photo--but you do get this much--plenty of good fresh food!

I thought I was busy last week with stitching--but it doesn't seem like I got much done when I did the photos--

I did get some 'purple' work done--

The purple heart block is done and this purple strip block is done and here is the '4' heart blocks I have sewn so far-

And yes a few more tulip blocks--

I did get all the hand quilting done on the Orchid quilt and have now sewn the binding on to it and am in the process of stitching it down--so that nearly is a finish--

I also worked on a couple other projects during the week--but no photos--and I went for an eye appointment Wednesday afternoon--just 2 blocks down the street--haven't been for 4 years--he said my eyes are healthy and my vision hadn't changed very much--but will get new glasses as it looks like one of my lens is ready to fall out--I mainly only use glasses to stitch or read!!

Now for counted cross stitching--

I am happy to say that I got the cross stitch in on the teacups on Friday--

 Look at his stack of tea cups--lots and lots of little cross stitches on this one ( I used 28 count linen) but I am not done yet--there is lots and lots of outlining to do !!!!

And I decided to do the new 'spring' stitch along from Melissa's site--

I have 4 boxes outlined--have 5 more to do--did pick colors this morning for the 2 designs I am behind on and did start the first one--I plan to work on the boxes this afternoon

And here is a 'good' one for you--

after Cheryl and I went to lunch--we stopped at JCPenny's in the Mall next door--

I just went in cause I didn't want to sit in the hot car--lol--But boy did I get a bargain--

I found the hot pink T-shirt on a sale table--was $17 marked down to $11--you know me and Pink--when I went to check out--the sales clerk said they were buy 1 get 1 free--so I ran back and picked up the Blue one--this time when I checked out and paid--the bill was --wait for it--only $4.27--yep--I got both of these John Bay T-shirts for only a total of $4.27!!!!!!!!!!!  I would of went back and got 2 more -only I didn't like any of the other colors!!!

SO THAT WAS LAST WEEK--IN A WAY NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS WEEK--I HAVE PROMISED MYSELF I AM GOING TO DO A GOOD SPRING CLEANING--( AND I BET MY FAIRIES WON'T SHOW UP!!)  HAVE YOU DONE ANY SPRINGFALL CLEANING????

OH BOY--I just discovered something while downloading my photos to this post--I accidently pushed a tab that said 'photos' below the 'up load from computer' button and up popped all the photos from my cell phone--what--why did nobody show me this or tell me about this before--that is how I was able to show the photo of my friend and the lights photo--I have always tried to email the photos to myself before and sometimes I could get it to work and sometimes not--now that problem has been solved--happy day!!!
