A BIG--RE-DO!!!

Actually it was more like a "summer cleaning/organizing" project--my fabric shelves--

they were in 'dire' need of some re-doing--and finally they just said--'it's time to clean us up and put us back together--or you will never find the fabric piece you are looking for--SOO--I spent 3 afternoons this past week sorting and hoeing my fabric garden !!!!  And I have ended up with 4 medium sized bags of fabric to give away--one bag is gone and a quilter is suppose to come for the other 3, soon--some of the fabric will be used in making quilts for twin beds for a new women's shelter near here-!

So it was a slower week here on the stitching front--but I did get July's monthly embroidery piece finished up from Melisa--

I am amazed at how much stitching there is in each of these!!!
remember I am doing mine in only shades of pinks and greens.

And I believe my latest appliqued heart blocks are finished--here is the last few--
But don't fear--
I have already cut out more hearts for the next project--Can you guess what 'theme' those hearts will be?????

And remember this embroidery piece??

And you remember me saying the yellow borders didn't make me 'sing'???
So yesterday when I finished off the heart blocks--this was in the bottom of that little tote--so I took it in hand and changed it to this--

And I do like it better, now--silly I know, but ????

And I did get to sew Friday afternoon on the machine and started the 9 patch blocks that will go between the Country blocks that I finished up last week--
these are just a couple of the pink ones--will be doing other colors too--actually looking for the fabrics to do these blocks is what drove me to clean out the fabric closet!!!!

And --yes--just so you know I really still am knitting the baby sweaters--

And I am still slowly hand quilting on this sail boat panel for my bathroom--and yes there really is a sail boat on this panel--above what you see here!!

And here is the only nature photo I took this week--from my window, even--

White Ibis out in the grass--there is one darker bird there behind the one Ibis--not sure what it is???

WELL--THAT'S ALL FOR THIS WEEK--it's been sorta hot and humid here now with afternoon thunder storms--but it's our regular summer weather!!! BUT IF IT'S ABOVE YOUR NORMAL FOR HEAT TEMPS--STAY IN DOORS AND SEW!!!
HUGS, DI

Your hearts are gorgeous - and reminds me that I have some tucked away somewhere! I like the new border better than the yellow on Spring - and love the birdhouse and bird you added! xx

Happy Monday, Di. You have been very busy organizing and stitching. I just love seeing all of your projects. I can not thank you enough for stitching my little monthlies. I love the colors that you have chosen. The July block looks amazing. Love seeing Joy's Spring Sampler too. You always do such beautiful work. Have a wonderful week . Stay cool and stitch on.

Change the dog in the chair to black and laying all curled up and it's my Bear! It was a good call changing the yellow to the blue on the stitchery. It is much happier now. Have a good week.

Love your heart blocks, you've got some fun fabrics in those. I definitely need to spend some time on the fabric closet, but I'm too busy stitching. Maybe once I finish all my projects with deadlines, I'll take a breather and actually do that. Stay cool, it's been hot here. I can definitely get behind the thought in that last picture of the tents!
