HAPPY AUGUST--

 

Can you believe it is August already???  Guess we better get busy--cause it won't be long before everyone starts that count down to --you know which holiday!!!

OK--first up--

and this is my #3 project--

box full of 'my favorite things' done in fussy cut --hearts!!

Think I have a plan for how I will finish these????

And I got August's Woven Wreath all stitched--

I used 2 different colored gold threads to stitch my sunny sun and face--though it really doesn't show up here --but in real life--you can see the difference!!

And once I  had the gingerbread pieces done for last month's challenge--

I concentrated on my blue heart project--

I figured I needed about 200--3" squares for the 4 patches--

they are cut and some extra ones, and the other blocks are all done now--so need  to get busy on the 4-patchs!!!

And this was my project the last 2 days--Friday and Saturday--

and this one is all basted now --ready to start the hand quilting on it--and I found the stencils I want to use in the 9 patches--instead of my normal out lining of each small block!!  This oughta keep me busy for awhile!!!

Now here is a funny (but sad really) story for you--

I needed new filters for my air purifying machine--and I discovered a great deal for them on Walmart --I usually buy them at Home Depot--I got twice as many for only $34.99 (other place was near $50 for only one set!!)  But when I went to check out online--I needed to buy something for one penny more??? ( The mouse was $12)

So I ordered me a new pink mouse to go with my new mouse pad--

So far so good--

On Friday I get a call from the front desk that a package is in--I go down and get it--

this box--

the box measured--14" wide by 21" long and 5" wide!!! and it only held the mouse--that package was only 6"x8"---

WHAT????????

The filters came in the next day in another box--but the right sized box--(my air purifier is worth every penny I spend on filters--you should see how much dust and lint--etc. it collects in a months time!!!)

WE JUST HAD ONE SMALL THUNDER STORM FROM DEBBY A BIT AGO WITH SOME WIND--BUT NOTHING BAD SO FAR--

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE--THAT DUMB COVID IS STILL AROUND AND SOME PEOPLE ARE STILL GETTING REALLY SICK FROM IT-MAYBE WE NEED TO GO BACK TO WEARING MASK AGAIN FOR AWHILE--THE BIG SIDE AFFECT THIS TIME SEEMS TO BE NO ENERGY FOR WEEKS AFTERWARDS--!!
