Well---April is almost in the history books--only 3 more days left for us to get our projects list done--And guess who is behind--me!!!! I have not touched this months Chookshed challenge--but like I said--there is 3 days left--soooooooooooooo??????
So what did I do this past week--???
I did work on projects--
I did do some Counted cross stitching nearly every morning--it's the way I start my day--
here is the section I stitched this week--and here is what I have done so far--
So it is growing---And I did work on the 'Orange Peel" stitch along--
I am doing mine in 'needle-turn' applique--discovered I have to make my peels about 1/16th" wider all the way around to get the points to meet--and that is doable--so --I am on the right path--just need to keep working on these--I only have '17' peels to applique on this --yet!!!!
And I spent alot of time hand quilting on the red hexie piece--
I just have 2 rows on the far left side to hand quilt--then to decide how I want to finish this one???
And I got those strips I showed you last week--cut into 2 1/2" squares--
Can you guess what I am going to do with these????
And my Temu order came in and I got some of these rub ons and here is how I used them--
one is the light switch by the door and the other is the bathroom light switch--so fun now to turn the lights on and off!!!
and this one took me a 'minute' to decide how to use it--this is on the wall between the kitchen area and the living area--and is an old phone jack--now it's a pretty 'kitty' box!!!
I want to order some other things from them--but am waiting to see what is going on first--as China has said they will not send anything though our US mail service and that is how I get the Temu orders!!!
On the plant front--I got a second rose plant--
this one is a pale rose color--but I am worried about the red rose one--it doesn't seem to be doing all that great--???
And I had to throw out my shamrock plant--but boy did I enjoy it while is was healthy and all the little white flowers it displayed--also the purple pansy had to go--but here is the last couple blooms from it--
they are floating in a pretty dish of water--so am still enjoying them!!On Tuesday I did get to go to my Son's for a nice dinner which my lovely daughter in law made--
we had fresh Salmon, rice, peas, rolls, deviled eggs--and later she made us fresh strawberries with a cheesecake frosting on each one--cute and very yummy!!!
And this little bunny was in my Easter basket--
I did pack most of my Easter things away--but keep out a couple rabbits for Spring decorating and this is one of those bunnies!!
Well--time to go for now--am in the middle of sorting patterns and filing them--so my bed is full of paper work right now--doing some Spring cleaning!!
ARE YOU SPRING/FALL CLEANING--OR JUST UP TO YOUR WRIST IN DIRT FROM THE GARDENS?????
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK--HUGS, DI

Just puttering around here! I need to make some deviled eggs and go through the fridge. it things are not visible, no one eats things! Sigh. Your cross stitch is looking great, as are the peels. Have a great Sunday.
Cross stitching is a good way to start each day. I love the little farm girl in your LHN stitch. I wish you a wonderful week, Di. Hugs.
I keep 2 1/2” squares in a container as they are handy for many projects. Anxious to see now what you make with yours. Nice having dinner with your family. A good break away from the food at your place. Kathy
You've been busy. Love your wall art, very pretty and the kitty is just perfect. Happy stitching this week.
Lots of neat projects going on at your place, Di!! I am working on my UFO's --got 2 more layered up and pin basted and sewing crumbs from the Duckworth project...don't want them hanging around!! I love your wall art rub-ons--what a super idea--thanks for sharing...hugs, Julierose
