SUNDAY--LATE--

I am late to the Sunday party--
what can I say--
Life just got in the way--
(we won't really say that I kinda forgot--
that today was a post day!!!??)

Last Sunday--
Inchy--

I worked at saving the life of my Geranium--

She was not a happy camper outside--
so I recused her and brought her inside--
love the color of this one--
also I got this photo--

first time I have seen 2 squirrels eating so close to each other here--
usually one is always chasing the other ones off!!!

Monday--
Not alot of words for this one--

It was just one of those days--
where you seem to ask yourself alot of questions
 about things that are happening to you!!

Tuesday--
was for the --

Owls--
When I got back to NY last Fall--
one of the first things I did was go to the Windmill--Farmer's Market-
up the road a piece--
and I bought this Owl garden stake--

there is 3 owls on it--though the flowers cover up the last 2--
but as I was sitting at the table this morning--The sun 'hit' the glass eyes on this first Owl--
and they shined just so beautifully--

Anne came with a show and tell--

Gotta love the color "pink"--
we went to Pizza Hut for lunch--

Wednesday--
was in the evening when--

I seen a Humming bird come to the window feeder--
but haven't seen her since--but then I can't watch out the window all day--
so that makes 2 Humming bird site-ings for me now--

Thursday--
I was at the computer here late in the afternoon-
and I looked out the window--
and I got sooo excited--

my view of the lake is back--
there had been a boat parked right dead center of this view for about 3 weeks now--
or more--
so now mornings I can see the end of the lake again--yea!!!!

Friday--
What can I say--

It was a not feel good day--
there is something in the air--
I was dizzy and light headed most of the day--
others here had runny noses and eyes and were sneezing all day!!!
But I did work inside and I got few  things done--

Saturday--
I came to the a shocking discovery--
July is nearly over--
and not once --
since last Fall--
had I sat outside for a bit--

so after supper-- I wandered outside and walked around a bit--
and then went and sat in the patio area (smokers area) and
visited with a couple other tenants for awhile--
it was perfect weather-wise--
Now I just want to know--where did July run off to????

I did get two finishes for the week--
another embroidered basket got finished--

and another one has been started--
with alot more getting done on that one today while watching racing!!!

And August--Word Play --

and September's Word Play has been started--
this months is giving me a hard time with the colors--
but then if I didn't change the colors it would be easier--
but that isn't me!!!!

Was a lovely week weather wise here--
so that has been great too---

UPDATE --ON WHAT????

I did some detective work today--
when I went back to Walmart today to walk--
I did check the date on these--

there is a lot of these boxes--
original price is $2.19--they are on sale for ----$2.00 a box--
so you can save 19 cents per box!!!!!!
and---

the dates that I checked are--
expiration date--July 19, 2019--
and August 19, 2019--
so these are from--
last Christmas!!!!

But all this Fall stuff the stores are putting out now--
is depressing me--------------!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUNDAY TO SUNDAY

It seems that I am about a week behind in a post--
except for the 'WHAT' post mid week????

So lets see--
Last Sunday's Inchy was--

I do love watching and enjoying nature--
especially in the mornings while I am stitching at the window--
That Sunday--
I ended up with 5--yep--5 squirrels came to check out the 'vittles'!!!

I think the 5th one at this time is running up and down the tree!!!

Monday--
we got our 3rd block for the Christmas in July

stitch along from Joy's site--
and I got it stitched up--

block 2 was--

and block 1 was--

I had a spool of thin silver Metallica thread that I used for the outline of the ornament--
these were easy, fast and fun to do--
tomorrow we will get the finishing instructions!!

Tuesday--
is Anne's day--
and we did go out to lunch--

this small diner has been open for many years--
the one son and his wife run it now--

and here is the quilt top Anne brought me for 'show and tell'--

those in the middle are some I made and gave her--
in the evening we had a nice thunder storm!!!

And we can remember what---
Wednesday's Inchy is--

a couple other things happened on Wednesday--
that also made me say--What??????

Thursday--
I got to met a new friend--

Violet is a 4 month old doxie pup--
and belongs to Anne's daughter Kim--
Kim has a small shop here in downtown (seamstress)
so I stopped in to see her--one very sweet dog!!
then I went on to the yarn shop for a bit and visited with Sue--

Friday--
Inchy--

does this look like a ring???

hopefully--
this ring is my favorite ring I have ever owned--
and I used to wear it every single day--
but somewhere along the line I had stopped wearing it--
I was going through my small bag of jewelry on Friday and found it--
so have it out for now--
I got this ring many years ago--early 80's maybe even late 70's at a rummage sale
for---25 cents (also got a couple others) all have solid gold bands and it might even be
an actual sapphire  stone--??????

Now Saturday--
I had a wonderful surprise--
I was sitting at the table watching out the window while --trying--to stitch--
and I had a lovely visitor--

fly in and get some nectar from 4 tiny red blooms on my one plant--

and quick as a wink--I got 3 photos of her before she flew off--
she did not come to the window feeder--
and this plant doesn't have a lot of blooms--
so you can bet on what I will be buying at Walmart tomorrow????

August--
Wood Play--is causing me headaches this time--
it seems I have to keep unstitching everything I stitch in--
First I found this--

can you see where the letters--"wer" are down one set of stitches???
fixed them--

now I was also off about 4-5 stitches when I got the bird on the branch done--
and I could not find out why????
then one day I was moving the stitchery around--
and it just jumped out at me--

The 'm' on bloom---has '3' loops--instead of 2--???????
wonder who did that?????????

so it got fixed--
and the 'beat goes on'--
yep--I did more 'boo's'--but hopefully each time I have caught them--
I am getting down to nearly being done with this one--one or two more stitching times--
and hopefully it will be finished!!!

HAVE A COOL DAY--EAT SOME ICE CREAM OR A POPSICLE!!

this was the Inchy for Wednesday---
for lots of reason's really--
it was one of those days--
but it was for this also---

Seen in Walmart--a whole display case of these at the end of an aisle!!!
Now--
my question is this--
are these from last Christmas--
or are these suppose to be for this Christmas?????
Or --
did we jump from mid July to--
December already????????????????????????????????????????

( for what ever reason--I took this photo on the cell phone--
and then it would not 'send' it to my email--what??????)

SUNDAY BEST

remember when we used to dress up for every Sunday???
Well--I do have lots of things to show you--

Thursday--
I did something that I have done,,only, once or twice before--
and it was time to do it again--
and that was wash some clothes--

My dolly clothes that is--

This doll is about 40 years old--
along with the cat beside her--
(I also do alot of geese at the time I made these--
there were lots of more of both--but I never kept one for myself--
these were the ones I gave my Mom--and after she died in 1996 I got them back!)
When I was cleaning a last week I realized that Missy needed some clean clothes--
and now as I was downloading and checking the photo--guess what I discovered???
the little mouse on the cats tail is the same fabric--how 'funny' is that?????

this was Thursday's night sunset--

Friday--
I also have known for a few months now that I needed to do some other
washing--

can you guess what needed washing????

Counted cross stitching projects--
the this gal with the frying pan--was done by my DD when she was 16 or 17-
all the others I have done and these are some of the older ones--
the 4 little ones in the second photo are some I did when I went to Zephrhills, Florida
 to visit my parents when they came to Fl for the winters--that is over on the West side-
and was back in the late 80's early 90's)
they look much better now--believe me--alot of the frames where getting old and
in disrepair--so I have taken them out--not sure how or when they well get back to
display mode--but they will be all ready and waiting when the time comes--
(ps--I have lot more to do yet--this week hopefully!!)

Saturday--
the morning was spent doing a couple loads of laundry and
working on the Inchy's getting last weeks stitched on to the body of the
hexie quilt--
in the afternoon--

I went to an Ice Cream social over to the yarn shop--
and I was a good girl--
and didn't have any--they had all kinds of sweets--but--
with me being 'sweet' enough already--I didn't have any--
I also made it out with buying anything--
the one skein I did want was $40.00!!!!
I did visit with a nice lady that was there from out of town--

Later when I was home I got an "upsetting" phone call from a friend--
and boy then I was ready for a ice cream sundae with all the fixings!!!!!!!!!!!
luckily by then the Yarn shop was closed---

Lots of "critter" folks showed up today for the seed party--
at one time there was '5' squirrels out there--oh no!!!

Red did show up first though--good thing hu????

I took this one a couple days ago--

Two Reds---
until the one spotted the other one and then the chase was on!!!!

and I thought this one was cute--
Red is saying--I wonder if I stay behind him--if he will see me???

I got my fabric order in--
but I was upset with the white fabric--
I had ordered "Bleached white"--me thinking Bleached would mean--white white--
you know like bleached out white--welllll--it is a very off white--almost an unbleached white--
so I had to go back online and order white--luckily one of my companies had free shipping
that day--but it often takes this company 2 weeks to get here--
so------

yep--even this male cardinal--fly's in each day for a seed or two and then he is off--

as the race was on last night--
it had a great finish, too!!!!!
