IT IS SUNDAY-----

This for those 'folks' who don't know what day it is!!!
(just joking--I also have my days --when  I am not sure what day it is??)

First up is some stitching and reports-
but at the end is a funny/sad story--
so keep reading--

First up--

my 'sisters' block for the month of March--
I really had to go with my limited stash on my my teals for these--
but just the same I love stitching these blocks--

and a finish--

for the Counted Cross Stitch project I have been working on most mornings--
This is hot off the press--
as I finished it off this morning--
I think I started this 8-9 years ago--
I did find a spot to add the year and at the end of
the numbers on the left side of this piece is my initials-
now to decide on how  to finish it off???

and for this afternoon --when I am off here--
I will be redressing this gal--
I had to wash her clothes--and I did that a couple months or so ago--
and she has been patiently waiting for me to redress her--
and have some applique planned to do also--!!

I have several projects I am working on at the moment--
one was really giving me a hard time-
a rabbit wall hanging--wouldn't you know--
but we finally sat down and had a good talk and now after alot of
unstitching and restitching--
that one is back on track!!

I also cut out fabric for a new project on the sewing machine=
it seems alot of my projects lately are just hand work--

and then today I copied off some patterns for a new spring mystery project-
over on buttermilkbasin.com
so hope to do that one--pop over and have a look and think about joining me--
oh and have you seen the 3-D pinwheels on www.getasquiltingstudio.com
are they not the neatest thing since 'sliced bread'??????
( I do believe I have seen these somewhere else in the past--but never did make any--)
so who wants to join me in those--I guess I got my week planned out--
plus new color projects will be revealed this week--!!!

Ok--I know you are all sitting there just 'chomping' at the bit to hear the funny/sad story!!
A couple days ago--
our staff here came around to all the apartments with carts full of fresh flowers--
and this is the bunch I picked--
some really pretty carnations-
and I put them in my 2 quart old canning jar
(which has made being shipped to Fl and NY and Fl '3x' and not gotten broken!!!)
about 2 hours later or so-- I realized that something wasn't quite right
with me and how I was feeling--so you know how it goes--all kinds of thoughts
start going through your head--including--oh dear am I coming down with the '19-virus'??
Then I happened to look over at my pretty flowers--
and that is when it hit me--
I was having an allergic reaction to the flowers--!!!
so I took them to the kitchen and wrapped some paper towels around the stems-
and knocked on the neighbor's door across the hall from me
and gave them to her--
that was sooooo hard--I love flowers--!!!

Well--it's been 2 weeks since I had dinner with my son--
it was take out and was on a Saturday night and it was the last time I was in a grocery store--
that following Tuesday--my son is pretty sure he came down with Covid-19--he has all the
things they tell you about and his boss had been sick and in the ER 2 times the week before--
but they did not have any testing here in the area then--so who knows--Dan is pretty much better now--thankfully--so I have been waiting for the 2 week mark from being with him and in the store to see if I would come down with it,
I do believe there is alot of folks out there who are sick and have been sick before all the testing
was available--so I believe the numbers are really higher than they know--

and when you get home from the store are you wiping all the groceries down with disinfectant???
you better be--cause other people have more than likely also touched that box, or can or jar--and they may be coming down with--
ok--that's my story and thoughts on this terrible illness that has
almost made the world come to a stop!!

LOVE TO ALL AND STAY HAPPY AND HEALTHY--
AND KEEP SEWING AND GARDENING--
LUV, DI

Ohmygosh Di--Hubs and I laughed a lot when we saw the Dog picture--we have always been dog people and this these have been the first few years we haven't had either a dog or at least a grand-dog...
thank you for that;)))
You are doing so many lovely crafty things..Love that little bunny gal with those floppy ears...
how cute is she...
we use gloves @ grocery and then wipe all the stuff down and wash hands when we get home too...
Hope you are staying safe and well

Love those sisters' blocks! How pretty they are. You know, I find it hard to remember what day it is as each day just seems to meld into the other these days. Love the sweet doggie reading the paper....it did make me smile.

Ha! I'm one of those people who never know what day it is. Your cross stitch is drop-dead gorgeous!! I'll have to jump over to Buttermilk Basin to look around. Not that I need any new projects. I'm happily working on several oldies. It looks like we have another whole month of quarantine, at least, so I'm planning to get a few more crossed off the list. And maybe even make a couple of christmas gifts? Sorry about your flowers.

Your blog always makes me smile and get "itchy fingers" (to start sewing again) lol.

I'm sorry the flowers didn't agree with you. THey certainly were pretty and how nice of you to gift them to a neighbor. ;-)

I hope your son is ok now. Key words nowadays are STAY SAFE!!!

HUGS!
