SUNDAY--THE BEGINNING OF--

a new way of life for America--
this is soo strange--for the USA to be kinda really 'shutting down'--
but I am one who now realizes that This is necessary--
When Disney closes and all sports events are canceled--
you better believe this thing is very serious--
so take care everyone--!
I live with 165 or so other Seniors and then the staff that comes and goes each day--
and we are the target age group--sooo--
I am stocked up for I think a good month --got me some more chocolate last evening--
so I am good to go----:-)

Now for some actual sewing news--

My first part of my goal for this months OMG is
finished--
I really love the big stitching on this one--
it really made this quilt 'pop'--
and here is the backing-
not to work on the 2nd part of this months goal--

and these blocks are done for this months color of Teal/turquoise--
and here is all the blocks so far this year--
one dozen blocks so far--

and for this months --
other color of the month project--
we had the Baltimore Oriole --
I am trying to find a flower print in each color and then a more solid color--
I was happy that as we had orange last month in the other color of the month--
I found 2 that worked for this months block--

and for my Cross stitching project--
I am here--the next step starts the ABC's going around this border now--

and for the Buttermilk Basin bom--
here is block #2--
this was my 2nd attempt at this block--still not sure I like it--
but block #3 is out and I like it--it has a chick on it--
so know that I will be doing that one for sure!!!

And at the end of last weeks NASCAR event--
I had finished another apron and started the third one--
here is the one I finished--
and here is a close up of the flowers--
I added this flowers--I believe the pattern just had satin stitch flowers--
mine are 3-D ones that I learned this year from the sampler we have been working on--
and is now ready for hand quilting!!

So while we are all home--staying safe--let's sew up a storm--
a good kind of storm that is!!!!
have fun with family that is now also home with you!

WE CAN STILL SEND SOME LOVE OUT THERE IN THE WORLD BY PHONE!!
SO CALL SOMEONE EACH DAY--
LUV, DI

Very nice projects and they are all pretty in their own right. The darling vintage apron with embroidered roses is special. I hear ya, chocolate will get us through ;-)

We just learned that visitors are no longer allowed at the assisted living place where my MIL lives. So I'm glad you are stocked up on chocolate and have plenty of sewing projects to do! Love seeing what you've been working on!

The big stitching on your Christmas quilt is perfect... it really adds another dimension to the quilt!

You are really sewing up a storm! I'm surprised at the events that are being cancelled. Today it was announced that schools would close and all employees 65 and older are requested not to come to work. I would think being stocked up for a month would be good. And with all your sewing you should be in great shape. Take care!

As long as you have chocolate, life is still good! I love all your blocks, and your cross stitch project is really cute.
We just recently got interested in NASCAR and were disappointed (but understanding) to see so many postponed events.

Oh my! I love your little apron! Just pretty details. Isn't it strange to be locked up? So thankful that we have our wonderful hobbies. No time to clean or do some of those things that other people do. LOL!
