I am happy to report I met my goals for--
I listed '3'--
1. Finish the hand quilting on the Easter quilt--
and it all done and put away with the Spring things--
2.To get the Christmas hand piecing blocks into a flimsy--
It is done--
plus--
it is all hand quilted and has the binding on it--
and here is the backing I used for it!!
So this one a much larger finish that I had hoped for!!!
and
3. was to get my pink heart blocks into a flimsy--
I had to wait and wait on a pink solid to finish the top--
and it finally arrived and did match--
(and I forgot to take a photo of the whole flimsy--)
Here it is and the top is not only done--
but I have the backing and batting done and it is now all basted--
for hand quilting--
and this is the backing--
it is in the Abby Rose collection--
I also got the other hand pieced top put together and it is ready for hand quilting--
So now the big question is--
do I hand quilt this one or--
the heart one first??????
now to decide on July's goal--?????
**************************
Covid news--
as you are hearing--Florida is out of control right now--
and this county is bad too--yesterday over a 170 some cases--
and alot of them are right here in my area--this county is now well over--
1,000 plus cases--the state is having nearly 9,000 cases per day!!!
so yesterday--my friend Carolyn and I drove 8-10 miles north up the beach road--
(US 1) to go to a Publix grocery store in an area that has a low count right now--
we also got to see the Ocean and even stopped at one park and got out and stood
and watched the waves (and people--who were pretty good at social distancing)
the water was such a pretty color yesterday too!!
Later--as I was unloading my groceries from her car--
I discovered she had a fairly flat tire--
so after bringing my stuff up and putting things in the freezer and refrig--
I went back down and kept her company while she waited for road side service
to come and change it for her--about a 45 minute wait!
in the evening my son texted me--
no dinner this week end--as 2 of his female staff tested positive for Covid-19!!!
I had wanted to go to Joann's and the Dollar store--but I did not and won't until
the counts come way way down--at least for Joann's I can order on line for some
of the things I need!! (or think I need!!!!)
HAVE AN AWESOME WEEK END IN WHATEVER YOU PLAN TO DO!

Oooh and Aww!Love those quilts especially the heart one and that is the perfect backing. The mice in the mask hammocks - hahaha! I won't be going to the Dollar Store until counts come down too.
Congrats on meeting your OMG! Your quilts are darling. Did you do the coin toss? Which quilt will win?
Sorry to hear no dinner with your son but glad you are safe.
Beautiful quilts! I especially like the Easter one.
Congrats on a very successful month of finishes. Very pretty quilts! Stay well, the case counts are really scary right now.
