AND LIFE DOESN'T STOP--EVEN--

When we are sad or in mourning--!!!

And the only thing I could do--was to keep moving--to try to keep my mind busy--

so I didn't play that 'guilt' game--we do often play that 'game' even when we have nothing really to feel guilty about--don't we--mine was--why didn't I make her go to the doctor about the pain in her leg!!!  Just like I could make Miss Frannie do anything--!!!!

So here is what I did the rest of last week--

I got the next step hand pieced on the hand piecing stitch along--now you can see the 3rd blue I am using--

Then on to working on the angels--appliqueing--something I really also enjoy doing--

and then on another day--I got their eyes and  halo's on the first 9 of these gals--

But one green angel did not want to go in the bag with the rest of these--and instead-flew up to a quilt to sit awhile next to my rocking chair--

her face when I went to do the eyes--seemed to be looking up a bit--so I did her eyes that way--and I think this ones name is Miss Frannie and she is looking at heaven!!!

I did get this one all hand quilted and the binding on it--and--
and got this one basted and am working on the hand quilting of it-
in fact it is nearly done!!

I got this pair of socks all finished-

and I think this pair will be flying to NY for my friend Anne for Easter--think it's her turn for a pair of hand knitted socks and I have another pair already on the needles!!

I did some embroidery--

and finished the first month's of Joy's stitch along--I am coloring mine with crayons!

And I am steadily working on the Farmhouse counted cross stitching project--

and now am on my third block for this one!!!

And on Friday--when I got up --I knew I needed to do something really different to try to take my mind of my loss--
So--I remembered a project that I had gotten felt and the pattern for--about a year ago--and never did even start it--so I went hunting in the fabric and supply jungle and found them and here is what I worked on for the next '3' days--
meet--Miss Rabbit--

she is all stitched my hand--even did her dress all by hand--
and in my Easter things I even have a nice sweater for her to wear--
if Easter is chilly this year--

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELVES AND YOUR FRIENDS 'N' FAMILY--
LUV AND HUGS, DI

What a cute bunny. And she even has her own sweater. You angel quilt is going to be an absolute delight. I'm glad Frannie is watching over you as you stitch. I know you have many happy memories of your friendship.

It is hard to be happy at this upsetting time but at least you can keep busy and productive. Healing takes time.

You have been busy with your hands while mourning your dear friend. I'm sure all those great memories are stitched into each project. Big hugs to you.

Just catching up on blog reading Di, since I have been unwell for a while. Love your kitty block, so pretty with it being colored in! xx
