WARMER WEATHER IS BACK--

Oh boy--the warmer weather is back--we had a cold snap here --and yes I should not complain--as it is nothing like the cold snaps or winter that is coming to others--but for us Floridians--it was a bit on the chilly side--and a couple months early--we are still in the mid 80's here at this time of the year--or higher--and it got down to mid 50's at night and only 70 during the day with a strong breeze--!!!  I called this Florida's Indian Summer!!!

So let's see--what have I been working on since we last talked--

I got October's bird block of the month done-

On this one--the pumpkin was in wool and everything has some embroidery details stitched on them--

though it doesn't look like you may be able to see that in this photo???

And I got a little counted cross stitching--Fall piece done and make it into a cute little pillow for display--

And I got last year's 2021 Flower Vases block of the month done by Jenny--
I did mine in 30's prints and it is all hand quilted and  finished and hanging up--

These vases were tiny--and I hand appliqued them and then the flowers were embroidered! Thanks Jenny!

And this is now the quilt top I am hand quilting on--

I had tried to put borders on this one--but it would have nothing to do with them--so had to take them off--it's ok--my place is so small--smaller is better--and this way I can hang it on the outside of the door and it will fit!!! This will have lots of hand quilting on it, by the looks of it--

I am still making my flowers--

And I still have a few more to do--have looked for some back ground fabric--online for them--but nothing has jumped out to me--yet--may get into an actual quilt shop this week and hope to find something there???!!!!

And I did get on a nice walk around the neighborhood this week and took a photo or two--

and a house make over--

I wished I had a before photo of this house--it is one street over--but the house was soo ugly and run down that I never took a photo of it--can't believe how different this looks now--I don't think they tore down the other one--but it sure almost looks likes they did?????

KEEP THOSE NEEDLES FLY'IN--CHRISTMAS IS IN THE FAST LANE--

HUGS, DI

You would be amazed what paint and some hard work can do to a house! It does look really nice. I loved that cooler weather =) Looks like you have been busy and productive working on all your projects. Have a great week.

That house looks really nice now. Steadily getting colder here. The trees are all dark green and gold, but only need a breeze and they flutter to the ground. I like autumn.:)
As usual you have some lovely things to show.

You poor thing - down into the 50's!! We've had a few cold mornings, but still no hard freeze, and nothing in the near forecast. Fall is sstill in all her glory at the moment. I'm getting ready to hibernate and get tons of stitching and reading done. Bring on the snow!!

We finally got cooler weather this week. Last week we were still in the 80's, this week it's been below 70. You've gotten lots done. Love your vase and flower blocks. Your fall stitchery turned out beautifully too. Hopefully, life is back to normal in part of the state after the hurricane. Happy stitching this week.
