The week started off good--on Monday morning a friend and I went to Walmart--I really didn't buy much--had already spent too much on mailing out packages to friends--but from the time we got back--I was in a 'mood'--so for a couple three days I had 'no' mojo and felt grumpy--me grumpy-(ok so I do get a bit depressed and grumpy at my age--but I have lived long enough to have earned the 'right' to be grumpy--right??) And then the rest of the week--well--maybe we will talk about it later--
One 'grumpy' afternoon I played around with the new piece of fabric I had gotten and the '4' applique teacups I had done last month--I believe and came up with this little wall hanging--
let's talk --fun--stitching things--one afternoon, I was looking for more fabric that would work for cutting out my appliqued hearts and a plastic bag just up and jumped in front of me to the floor--so when I picked it up--I realized it has some pretty bird fabric collection in it--)remember how I was going to sew up some of my pretty bird fabrics in January--though --I really didn't say what year I would do that!!!
I did fussy cut one piece into a couple hearts for the hearts--and put the rest back in the bag--but then the next day--this happened with the panel that was in the bag--
I discovered one piece had '6' birds that were different--so I kept them all in one big block and added a black lattice border--and then cut '4' more blocks into individual birds and added black all around them-
I think I have a plan for the first set--not sure where I am going with these 4????
And I did sew up the pinwheels and put them together one afternoon--
These where made from a Charm pack I got for my birthday--I think I like this arrangement---but haven't really decided where this project is going--????I do believe this has been the most challenging one so far--we are now at '20' heart blocks and she wanted us to line them all up and take a photo--and post it on Facebook--here is my 22 blocks-
And I got Joy's Spring embroidery sampler done--though I hope she won't be mad at me--I did my drawing for the last block--mine just had to have a bird --
to me spring is all about plants and birds!!!!
And I got June's block done from Melissa's site--
What do you think of those little 'pink' bee's????
I did finish up --late last night--the third in a series of heart blocks--
And here is where I am on my counted cross stitching--
And this block 3 of Mr Jack --he has 3 new friends in the patch--
Oh dear--they are not all 'dressed' up yet--we will give them a week to get their act together!!!!
And I did do some hand quilting on the sail boat ocean scene and finished a baby sweater and have started knitting another one--
So though I was 'grumpy' and then the it seemed each day starting Thurs I got bad or sad news every day--I just keep stitching--and when I feel grumpy--I pretty much stay alone and inside--so did have time to do some extra sewing this week--!!!!
As for some plant news--
My tiny Thyme seeds seem to really like being up higher and getting more sunshine and growing better--
And my Impatience plant is growing taller and had pretty much had all the buds bloom--but I do see more growth coming --so maybe I will get more flowers--

So which 'project' do I decide to finish off first????
Yes we can have “grumpy “ days but I’m pleased to still managed to work on some of your lovely projects.
Cute Teacup wall hanging and the sweet birds.
The new heart block does look challenging but you did a great job of yours…
Grumpy days aren't fun, but they do happen. You made good use of your grumpy time. Love those bird blocks and your heart project is one of my favorites. Hopefully no grumpy days this week. Only happy stitching this week.
