MARCHING TO THE BEAT--

I believe March is a Marching month for sure--We are all marching into something--spring or fall--where ever one lives and this year I can say--that Florida is marching into spring just like up north and west--we have had 3-4 months of winter here--very chilly and windy--but this past week it has started to warm up again and we might even see some 80 degree days this coming week????

And here is my other Cross stitch for March--

And  we may be marching now at the first-- of the month--but the end of the month we will be--

Hopping with Easter ending the month!!!
I need to stuff these 2 egg shapes this afternoon and add the trim going around them--I have 3 other egg shapes for Easter in with my Easter things--that I did years ago--

And this morning I got the cross stitching done on this cute piece by Melisa--

And I added a robin within my tulips--??

And here is the Month of February hearts from Crabapple Hill all stitched--

And yes that is a million little Bullion stitches going around the large heart in the center!!!
I also found the border fabric this morning for finishing this into a wall hanging --

And talking about hearts--
Remember I showed you this months embroidery heart from Melisa--

Well I had a hard time liking it next to January's block--

And I was in one of my 'moods' yesterday--so--
here is the newer stitchery of February's block--

and here they are side by side--

I am still thinking that that red may be 'too' dark--but am going to leave it for now--today we got March's block from Melisa--

Here is February's Pumps and Petal block--

I am not sure I will do anymore of these??????

And for this challenge--

Color of the month--here is this months Tea Towel--in red--

and for this challenge--#2 was drawn--
Which was my Library blocks--using last years color of the month--
And I am happy to say--that by noon on Feb 29th I had a finished top--
My teapot will get a button on the lid of the pot--but not until it is hand quilted--I am so grateful for this challenge as I am sure I would never have finished these, if not for the challenge--

And now for the March challenge--

Drum roll --Please-- my #4 is--
my Christmas Sunbonnet Sues--oh my thought I was done with Christmas for awhile!!!!

*******************

First for the fun part of the week--I took Friday and just chilled and went out with my friend Cheryl--we went to a thrift store and I spent a whole $6--but had fun looking--I always have all kinds of things and ideas before I walk into a thrift store but once inside--all that seems to vanish---Then we went to Red Lobster for lunch and a nice visit and stopped at the grocery store on the way home!!!

And I did get all my February challenges and blocks finished by Feb 29--I had a couple intense stitching days the last couple days of the month--but I did it!!!

****

Let's talk cell phones--I was with out a cell phone most of 3 weeks--I had gotten a new cell phone from QVC in October and all was fine--the carrier was Tracphone--then 3 weeks ago--the coverage just up and ended and every time we would get it going again--it would last only 24 hours--grrrrr!!!!  so I did some research on cell phone coverage to see what company I might want to sign up for--in my reading I discovered that Verizon had just bought out Tracphone, Straight Talk and safe link and that for some reason--some Samsung cell phones did not work with the new system--mine was one of those--why, of course, why not----After 3 weeks and many hours and phone calls--to Tracphone I now have Consumer Cellular at  only $15 a month plus taxes for a year (there's a promo code on TV for them with this offer)This company is also a AARP recommended.

So as of 10:45 on March 1st I have now have---hopefully good cell service!!!

So that is one problem solved---

*** we are still in the 'food fight'--the top person at this Poah company that runs this senior apartment building and many others--came to talk us a couple Thursdays ago--and all I can say is--they need to fire her--she knows nothing--she kept telling us she was in direct contact with the man at HUD who was asking her all these questions and was working with her closely--but when asked what his name is--she didn't know it--WHAT????  I know his name--and it's a short last name--so she should of known it if she really is in contact with him--?????????? she also told us other things that we know are not true!!!

We have not gotten any word from HUD yet as to their decision--so therefore I do not see how they can start charging the new price April 1st---??????

It is still hard to go downstairs or in the hall ways--cause all the residents are still so angry and scared of the increase!!

********************

Thanks for those who read this and comment and are hoping the best for us--

OK--MARCH--LETS GET MARCHING ON WITH ALL OUR STITCHING PROJECTS AND PLANS AND SOME FUN TIMES--

HUGS, DIANE

You're working on some fun projects, Di! Of course, I love the designs from Melisa - your Tulip Sampler is sweet and the monthly hearts, too. Those Pumps and Petal blocks are fun! Glad you got your phone issues sorted out - wish the same would be true for your building's food issues. Good luck with all that - it sounds so frustrating!

Happy Sunday, Di. You have had another busy busy week . Your March stitches are gorgeous and love the bunny stitch. I am so honored that you stitched the Mini Tulip Sampler. The wee robin is adorable. The pumps are so fashionable and fancy- Cute! Cute ! Cute! So glad to hear your phone problem is solved. Hopefully, the food fight will be resolved with better results. Have a lovely week. Oh and March came in like a lion here with thunderstorms.

All you heart stitcheries turned out beautifully! You definitely have been busy this month. Your library quilt is really cute and fun. Hopefully March is a good month on both the stitchery and figuring out the meal increase stuff. Happy stitching this week.

Hi Di,
Sorry it took a spell for me to get your link added to the Chookshed Challenge linky list and update your February progress. I am so glad you commented on my blog so I could go searching for you. Happy to have you along!

Your embroidery projects are gorgeous! I love the different little pictures inside the hearts.

I will enjoy watching your delightful Sunbonnet Sues come together. She doesn't look like Christmas but maybe winter.

Cell phone troubles UGGH!!!

P.S.
I totally forgot to tell you how much I love your bookshelf quilt. I would never have thought to do a RSC with a bookshelf, but now I just have to have one. Great idea!

Your projects are all so lovely. The robin in the tulips is the perfect touch. No robins have returned here yet. I am watching and listening for their call to spring. Your cellphone calling troubles and rent increase looming do not sound like fun at all. The bookshelf quilt top is so pretty snd colorful. May your stitching and sewing help ease your concerns and the new cell service keep your lines if communication open. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a kind word today ... :) Pat
